I do my best

Done yourself proud.

Problem with being a child of the 80's is I missed out on knowing these songs exist.

Thank you!

Good opening post! We have it in us! So hopefully it can get better again. I know I will try at least!

I don't have it in me. My vocal cords aren't able to produce singing notes, thus I can't and don't sing.

Come on City! We're not after a Liverpool Tra-la-la-la-la-la, or a Man Utd Knick Knack Paddy Wack

I understand you travelled to south east London for our game with Charlton on Sunday. I wanted to personally thank you, not only for your effort in making it to this game, but also for your fantastic vocal support throughout the match. Your contribution was immense and without doubt lifted the team on to a convincing victory. Our players are also very grateful to you.

The atmosphere you bought to the game was vital - and if we can continue with that kind of passionate support at West Brom this weekend and at the next home game against Birmingham City - between us, we can all make a difference.

If you are able to make it to the Hawthorns this Saturday - I'll see you there. If not, I'll see you again at the City of Manchester Stadium soon.

Yours

Stuart Pearce
Manager

It is the club's fault.

North stand was already quiet, now it's like a church since it became the 'family stand' (may as well have called it the half empty stand).

Blaring interviews and music at 7 billion decibels before the game.

Playing the shitty rock version of blue moon instead of the old slow one that you can sing to.

Half time shitty competitions like "do the Agüero commentary" (that was at the stoke game).

Showsec stopping anyone from standing.

New fans who are day trippers.

Raising ticket prices so the working class can't go (the vocla people).

The only way to salvage the atmosphere is to scrap all the commercialised happy chappy family atmosphere crap, introduce a standing section in the lower North tier, move the away fans to the new extension, lower ticket prices, fuck off showsec or relax the rules. Don't care how feasible it is.

I agree with the above.

A couple of minutes respite from the PA System immediately prior to kick off would help get a few chants going.
Atmosphere tends to be something that builds up. We really don't give it a chance to happen pre match then when the
match starts people in most sections feel too embarrassed to start the singing.
