There is no confirmation of their race colour creed or religion - not that it has stopped most speculators. There's no idea whether they were all one nationality - whether they were living in France and if so for how long. Nothing.

Just showing footage of the assault on the concert hall and there were only a few shots and blasts from stun grenades. There didn't seem to be any outbreak of sustained shooting or loud explosions. I guess that they were shooting hostages already, hence the speed of the assault.

People in there uploaded videos of aftermath to social media sites. I think your surmisation is spot on.

Well, I read his tweet as one of not generalising Muslims or blaming refugees for the attack, which seems a fairly sensible approach.

You called him "scum" for that view, which seems pretty ludicrous to me. It suggests to me you either agree with generalising Muslims, or scapegoating refugees for these attacks.

The problem I have is if these were carried out by immigrants, why would anyone's first response be "Yes, let's continue doing this thing that's killing us!" It's insane and irrational to defend a system that just caused 118 people to die.

If they aren't immigrants, he's creating the notion that these attackers were immigrants. Which is almost as bad. We can bullshit all day in this forum but nobody cares what we say. He's just given the impression to millions of Twitter users that immigrants did commit this act.

My position is to listen to the intelligence communities when they say Isis is using the immigrant fiasco to move cells into Europe. That would be the sensible position. Because it didn't look like any real, vigorous screening was happening in Germany. More important than the immigrant problem, we must go after Isis.

Them and CNN seem to be revelling in it. Tabloid sensanalism at its finest. France 24 is naturally somber encouraging Parisians and tourists to contact their loved ones that they are safe.
