Attacks in Paris

A vigil in Lille has reportedly turned sour after anti-Islam protestors, carrying flares and a banner that read ‘Expel the Islamists’, clashed with those paying their respects in the city’s place de la Republique. the Guardian has a video of it

Also Bono has made a statement about how this is the first attack on music and those that like and listen to it.
“Our first thoughts at this point are with the Eagles of Death Metal fans,” Bono told the Dave Fanning Show on Irish radio 2FM today.
The U2 star added: “When you think about it, the majority of victims from last night’s attacks were music fans.
“So this really is the first direct hit on music we’ve had on this so called war on terror.
“We know that they don’t like music… and this and the cold blooded aspect of last night attacks are what are really upsetting because it means it could have been any of us.
Does that now mean Bono won't be letting any of them stay in one of his mansions? Has he passed them onto Sting or Geldoff or has Cumberbach stepped up to the plate?

Listen to yourself? Armchair M15 or what? All we know is that someone with the same name came through Greece. As has been stated elsewhere Syrian passports are currency - Syria is in a state - the gunman could be travelling on a forged document or the guy in Greece could have a forged document he presented to the authorities there. Its less than 24 hours since the attacks started lets not use this tragedy as a means to promote our own narrow agenda's eh?

Ok mate bury your head in the sand and pretend it's not happening. I've got no narrow agenda, I'm of the mindset that a very small percentage of the refugees will be extremists, but that small percentage is enough to ring alarm bells. If you seriously think that no wannabe terrorists have come to Europe posing as a refugee you need a look at yourself.

Although it's not good to rush to judgement the Germans have a lot to answer for, it was bound to happen just allowing open access like that many people warned them, it was an open invitation if I was an IS boss I would have used the same route

I think they deliberately had their passports on them to create this backlash against refugees. Why else would they be carrying a passport? I mean they weren't planning on leaving the country as they blew themselves up.

It saddens me that Muslims are being made scapegoats for the actions of a terrorist group. Most Muslims are very peaceful and go about their business, there seems to be a lot of people claiming how bad Islam is without knowing anything about it. The vast majority are sickened by what is happening, next time you see a Muslim try and engage with them and actually have a conversation and you will see that they are like us human beings.
I 100% agree with you. it's just every time this happens you get newspapers, people on tv etc... Which say Islam is a religion of peace when it clearly is not. The vast majority of Muslims are peaceful but the faith they believe in is not. Of course it's not the only one, The majority of religious scripture promotes violence in someway the Old Testament probably being the worst.

Isis is obviously using migrants as a strategic asset. They can get terrorists into Europe any time they want so long as open borders remain.

With the number of Muslims in France and the surrounding countries, it would only take one Isis agent to get in and recruit from many radicalized locals.

He has looked at himself many times but his default denial mechanism just keeps kicking in, he can't help himself it's inbuilt along with all the other programmed liberals

Christ, Bobby Charlton can't be too far behind now.

The guy came from Syria to Turkey and landed on a beach on the Greek island of Leros on October 3rd along with 67 others in his boat, the Greeks confirm the gunman is the same bloke

I have just got back from Berlin mate. First time I have been as an adult. I met a few girls from Chorlton at the New Order gig and ended up out all night with them and their German friend.
We got talking about this and it seems there is still a huge sense of guilt and shame in regards to the countries behaviour during ww2. It is still a huge cloud hanging over them and they are trying very hard to redeem themselves. It is a difficult subject for them and they are having problems in how to approach it.
Yes they need to learn from the past but they can not let things that the vast vast majority of them played no part in cloud their decisions on issues which could endanger the future.
I also noticed that they are very proud EU. There are EU flags hoisted everywhere. With them being the main entity driving the whole union, I just hope they do not risk the security of the rest of us in their pursuit of a utopian dream.

Exactly correct there are extremists already here ready to do this on these shores it's just lucky our anti terror police have been so good and foiled many planned attacks but sadly they can't stop them all the enemy is already within and if you don't believe that then you may as well talk to the wall. Serious action needs taking and quickly I just hope somebody has the solution

Ok Sherlock why did nearly all of the young men who jumped off the boats in Greece leg it as fast as they could or cover their faces when a camera was pointed at them, even the Lebanese president said a large proportion of the young men are radicalised Islamists, the Greeks have confirmed that the gunman is the one who landed on Leros beach

Does that prove one of them was involved last night?

A common theme in these French terrorist attacks is that at least One, if not more of the attackers are known to security services. If this is the case have France just got a much bigger issue than the Uk? because if they are known to the services and have been to Syria then surely their movements should be being monitored at the very least. I would hate to think that the 300 or so Brits who have returned from Syria are just being allowed to wander around without monitoring. Are the French version of MI5 doing a good enough job or is it just too big a job for them with the diversity of their population?
