Athens (AFP) - Two men who French police are seeking to identify in connection with the Paris attacks registered as migrants with Greek authorities earlier this year, the Greek police confirmed on Saturday.

French authorities had asked their Greek counterparts to check a passport and fingerprints of one man who died in the attacks and the fingerprints of another.

Both were thought to have registered in Greece, the main entry point into Europe for Syrian refugees.

One of the suicide attackers at France’s national football stadium, the Stade de France, had a ticket and tried to enter with a match under way, the Wall Street Journal reports. The newspaper spoke to a security guard who said the male attacker was discovered wearing an explosives vest at the entrance where he detonated it

I had wondered what was behind this - they surely can't have thought they could get near Hollande.

Stupid fuckers have also queered the pitch for themselves doing owt at the Euro Champs next year - there will be a Legionnaire for every fan as the security level

I think it's to show they infiltrated Europe like they said they would through pretending to be refugees and then create a backlash against refugees in general. They weren't planning to leave the country obviously.

Not usually. You might need I.D if you buy something but a driver license usually works.
