I feel a discrimination law suit goIng to fletcher.

Preferential treatment to said blocks. What if everyone stood up in other blocks, are they going to kick us all out.Or could i argue that they do it so i should i be allowed as well.

Surely giving more people the option there would be a lot moe standng than not.

I've not received this letter but just renewed in 109, 3rd row.

Got a feeling the first 5-6 games are going to be ruined again with constant arguments with stewards, people standing up/down, getting kicked out, stewards standing up telling people to sit down and blocknig your view. Nightmare.

By now, everyone that goes to games knows that 109-111 were all standing for the majority of last season and so if they had a problem they would have relocated over summer. And if anyone did seriously complain surely the club would have offered them a chance to re-locate anyway.

Not looking forward to Monday now half as much as you can guarantee the stewards will all be trying to lay down the law like they did unsuccessfully last time, leading to argument after argument.

My 'matchday experience' will be ruined!

Seeing as the letter has this in it "As you will no doubt aware, the club implemented a policy to tolerate standing in a number of blocks, predominantly in the south stand and then more recently to include the Singing section in block 111." Then that would mean 109 and 110 come under the part of non standing and they will be looking to eject people who do. Out of intrest did you notice anyone ejected last season for standing mate?

A couple did in the first few games, after many many arguments lasting the entire game on some occassions. Annoying isn't the word, you can bet they'll be kicking at least a few out Monday to set an example if they are trying to make the whole block sit down again.

Anyone that is in 110-109 now is there for the reason that they want to/don't mind standing and want the atmosphere. Anyone that didn't want that would have moved. Ridiculous Fletcher.

To be honest this doesnt effect me as i'm not even in that tier. The reason its still annoying is it has an effect on atmosphere which we all want to improve. What i dont understand, why not send these letters straight after the end of last season so people had the chance to move if they didnt like it.

Does anyone believe this part:

"The club has received numerous complaints regarding persistent standing in the block in which you are seated. "

Beat you to it Mat look 3 posts above. ;)
I believe there will have been complaints yes. I've moved about 30 seats to the right as 109 became fully standing last season and my dad at 67 can't stand up all game every game. We didn't complain, just moved across a bit though it's still a pain in the arse as I knew everyone around me after being there for years.

To be fair you will get legitimate reasons like your own. I do question how many will have complained though. As you said yourself you didnt. You would also think the majority who know they want to sit down would avoid those blocks.

I've been in south stand block 119 since the start, nobody stood up until about half way through last season and continued till the end.I and lots of others complained about it, not everybody wants to or are able to stand up but have to because when people in front stand you can't see..
I've moved to level 2 this season because I'm not convinced they'll be able to implement this but I'm having to leave my friends and family so I will be able to enjoy the game. There are always two sides to every story!.

Exactly. But there can be no season ticket holders left in 109-110 that don't know what to expect after last year. They will try again, treat the fans like crap, kick a few out, suspend a few seasoncards, ruin a a few matches, then give up.

True mate, i was just being a little cynical about the wording of the letter. I wondered if they had put the complaints part in to back up their position.

Just rang Ticket office for 2 together for the match - he said it's selling out fast this afternoon and only had 3 options for 2 seats together!

He said it's like people have woken up this afternoon and realised the season is upon us!

We may even have a better than normal turn out in family stand for a night match, would imagine hospitality are rear of second tier will be poor as Swansea not attractive for mon night hospitality types

Re Fletcher's letter; I've not received it yet, but I've never once heard anyone complain about standing in 110. It's generally referred to as part of the singing section anyway, it's hardly going to be enforceable with the entire block stood. What a dickhead.

probably the main singing block....111 and 109 merely provide backing vocals ;)
