Anything over 40k is very good in my opinion.
We must have pretty much sold out the lower two tiers and the EL3 for City to open SL3 so that implies 40k plus whatever Palace bring and what we sell in NL3. I'll go for 41,500
Take 5.5k off upper tier West and Say 5k off South stand and then 2.5k not sold on the lower tiers and you will be pretty much bang on. We will get 2000 turn up on the night as well. 43,333 my guess.
Presumably palace will be bringing a fair few if they've taken all 3 tiers?
Lots of boro singing around the swamp!!
I found the mutual love-in between united and 'Boro fans on the last day of the '96 season, when we were relegated against Liverpool, to be nauseating in the extreme and I've had a downer on the Teeside outfit ever since.'Boro haven't played United for over 6 years - if they were an established Premier League club there wouldn't be anything like as much novelty about their game tonight and they'd be bringing a similar amount down to Old Trafford that Palace are bringing to ours. Have a look at 'Boro's home attendance from the FA Cup 4th round win against United in 2002 - 17,624 and that was with about 6000 United fans present.
Not too bad, all things considered.Tonight's attendance is 40,585.
10,000 Boro? Shocked with that. So Utd still a big game for other clubs then. Unlike City going off the visiting numbers at our place.
I was about a hundred metres back from that, I think some people were run over just near the Barlow Moor Rd junction and it was a serious one. It happened at about 15:20 that and I was stuck outside Withington Met stop for an hour. Eventually the Police let us drive the wrong way down the Parkway and I managed to get across Withington and Ladybarn to Kingsway and get a good run up to town from there but the tailback down the Parkway would have been horrendous would have been down the Motorway easily.Wonder how many turned round and went home took us 3:hours to do a 40 minute journey due to the accident on princess park way also believe there was problems with the trains and trams.
Didn't get into the ground till the 35 main, people were coming out of their seats for half time as we were going in
Middlesbrough is without doubt, the most sinfully depressing town in England of its size. It made Wolverhampton seem like Alderley Edge.
