It looks like the rumours are true, Weatherspoons look to have bought The Boundary. The bar area is currently being gutted and the conservatory area refurbished.

This may be good news for some who want a cheap pint before jumping on the Guide Bridge train to Ashburys for City games (.

The Sun Inn landlord is on here, wonder what he thinks or if he knows more?

Still can't understand how quickly The Boundry went downhill? Used to do a roaring trade on meals and the annual beer festival used to be good. If it is a Weatherspoons it should do well.

From what i've been told, The Hooley Hill up the road is to be a Raja Bros mini market and The Stamford further up is to be a funeral palour.

Re: Audenshaw News - The Boundary...

From what I heard, the food started to go downhill fast at the Boundary.

Also, I understand in past times the landlord run off with one of the young bar staff to Spain and left the missus in the lurch.

I've seen a couple of Asian lads entering the Hooley Hill around 11pm at night before the metal shutters went up on the building. Usually metal shutters go on shops so could be right with Raja's.

The Stamford, I've heard a couple of things. One being a curry house but being rejected by local residents (the owner of the Plaza was supposedly one of those submitting concerns).

Finally, another curry place is due to open in Denton oppostie the taxi rank (next to a butty shop?). Forgot the name of it, but has an orange sign. Heard that the chef from Jaffrin is going there.

hope its true ,i work at Mono pumps so would be handy and like its been pointed out ideal when you get off the train, not good news for the Queens or the Corporation though (Mono will only be there another 12 months moving to the British areo space site in Chadderton)

Theres signs up for a Thai restaraunt and take away in Denton next door to de niro's shop too.

Heard The Stamford is defo a funeral parlour from the shop owner next door.

Strange for a Wetherspoons not to be in a town centre.

Raja Bros turned the Canterbury Arms in Ashton into a shop so them buying pubs up is not unheard of.
