Forgive me, but didn't Kanté & Tchouameni play for the same team? If so, how can Kanté completely outplay him? That's like saying Rodri completely outplayed Bernardo in the CL Final. They were team mates playing to tactics, NOT opponents...Tchouameni is the player RM would most likely get rid off. He plays because they have no defenders and he has to help by playing as a CB. And yes Kante completely outplayed him during the Euros. Tchouameni was a non factor.
„ I don’t know where you got all this he runs around and does nothing from“ . Again. That’s what RM fans say on several platforms. You can make out of it what you want. I doubt you watch every game since you somehow also didn’t know that Kanté carried him during the euros which was very clear to see.
If you think a Ballon d’or holder is okay with playing 40 games then that’s on you. Rodrigo complained yes. It will be different when it actually happens. Also he would be an ABSOLUTELE starter in Liverpool since they have no RODRI. So why would he move to city if he is CURRENTLY starting for Madrid and can move to another top club to start there instead of fighting for his place vs Rodri? He is not a Yaya or Pogba you put next to a 6 because he has all the offensive tools.
In the end if it happens it will happen but the moment Rodri is fit - it will turn into a problem due to his lack of passing game. Doubt Pep would play those 2 together.
I've seen more than enough of Tchouameni to make a call on his abilities, hence why your opinion of him makes little sense to me. However, we're all entitled to an opinion, but evidently ours differ wildly. Aside from Camavinga, I can't think of another CDM I'd prefer to partner with Rodri, albeit you'd prefer Nmecha. Again, it's about opinions.
Real fans didn't want Bale or Isco there either & that's their right. I'm basing my opinion on Tchouameni on what I've seen of him which is extensive. It's not worked out as he hoped at Real, but he's not the first, & won't be the last good player who just doesn't suit a particular club or manager. Think KDB, Salah, Sanchez etc...
How do you know Rodri will complain about playing 40+ games for City PLUS several internationals for Spain per season? He's literally been warning about the amount of games he's expected to play, fearing burnout, for his health & his form & effectiveness.
Midway through last season, I kept seeing Rodri on his haunches after 60+ minutes, because he was physically drained after playing for three years non-stop. How do you believe Rodri would complain about "only" playing 40+ games for City per season, which is only 15-20 games less than he's played during a season when we near enough won the lot?
Do you have stats to backup your claim that Tchouameni can't pass or defend, & that his only footballing attribute is that he can "run about a bit"?
