a few forest lads i know went to the fernhurst on tuesday for an early pint and were told that away fans are now banned due to city smashing it up last year,

i'm sure i was in there last year with no bother!

!

Thought it sounded like bollocks, and it is: <a class="postlink" href="http://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/news/blackburndarwenhyndburnribble/9596085.Away_fans_not_welcome_in_Blackburn_pub/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/ne ... kburn_pub/</a>

Was in it for promotion game - no ticket for match and bloke wanted to charge to stay in it. I was one of the many who spent the money on a few cans and had party on the hill

I like the jibes that the new buyers Greene King were planning ahead as there would be few away fans when Blackburn were relegated and eventually Ewood Park would be a Tesco Superstore, the comments were posted in March 2012.

"The new managers, Tony and Pauline Mangan, would like to extend a friendly Hungry Horse welcome to all our customers and look forward to serving many more at the Fernhurst in the near future.”

But football fans can go and fuck off somewhere else!

Fernhurst was shit for a drink anyway. Huge pub, three bars, plus the outside stalls, about three beers on offer, all shit. Postal Order in town for a few hours before the match and then taxi to the Fernhurst for about an hour before kickoff for pre-match atmosphere. I won't miss it that much. I'll just head straight for the ground instead. Concourse has been rocking anyway past few times. Mind you, unless we get them in the cup we need not concern ourselves yet. Pub might have been sold on to new owners again by the time we play them next.
