Away fans in home end again

Most people, myself included don’t have a problem with opposing teams fans in our home stands. It’s only when they start ballooning then it’s a problem. Been there myself and people next to me knew I was a blue and vice versa. The key is common sense and respect.

If you see opposition fans sat next to you or near you kick off with them. Stewards have to do something then, and when they find out they are opposition fans they get kicked out.... plus you get the bonus of kicking off with them. Win win.

Don't sit they're and do nothing.
Not true
I’ve complained to the stewards about opposition fans sat with us and gibbing off several times and they have done fuck all.
Two years ago we couldn’t make the Scouse match so put our season cards on the ticket exchange.
Next game everyone was moaning like fuck to us because the three sat in our seats were scousers.

This is why I don’t do that ticket exchange. I’m not confident the club will sell them to another blue. All about the ££ now.

I wasn’t too arsed the other day when the Port Vale fans jumped up as I always thought we would win and I jumped up at Blackburn when Tarnat scores that screamer and Anelka scored the winner in then last minute. I felt for some of the families around there though because it causes a bit of a scene with stewards etc and can’t be great for families with young kids to witness all that.

Not if you tell them they are causing trouble, carrying a knife, threatening people. Stewards cant be arsed with most things but stopping fights and trouble is what they HAVE to do, they know it, and I knew it when I was stewarding. We avoided as much as possible, but when it is in your face we weren't allowed to avoid it.

I don’t get the fixation or disgust at away fans in the home end. 9/10 they are well behaved. If they are not then they will be kicked out same for home fans. I’ve sat in the home end all over the country and sometimes I actually prefer it

I hope no one has a problem with decent away fans sitting amongst us. That said it is expected that they are in ones and twos, because of the way City sell tickets, especially through agencies, we seem to have a whole row of them, sometimes two. These fans then tend to be loud, obnoxious and antagonistic. That leads to trouble with home fans and even innocents then get caught up in it.

I think the disgust at the minute centres around the fact that our club have indicated that they don’t trust us to go to Old Trafford in numbers and behave, but their morals and selfless concern for fan safety seems to mysteriously vanish when they sell tickets in our end to agencies knowing full well they’re being sold to away fans

Controversial but true. Actually it's not really controversial.

I was in the away end at Huddersfield when we won 2-1 with that Sterling late winner.

I didn't celebrate Sergio equalising penalty, but me and another 2 blues went mental when Sterling scored, and rightly got thrown out.

You have to respect the home fans at all times.
