Away fans / tourists in home sections

It's now from the cradle to the grave.

Filming the players getting off the coach.
Filming the players inside the main stand as they make their way to the changing room.
Filming the players behind the Tunnel Club glass wall as the players enter and leave the pitch.
Filming the players from the terraces.
The whole 'match day experience' as it's been coined by the club has become a film fest.

I get snapping a few photos here and there. I don't get just constantly filming stuff.

Do you want to see the match or not?

The weird thing about all that is that you can only live the moment live once, so why wouldn’t you be using all your senses to take it all in?

No matter how good your phone is, you cannot capture the moment in the same way you can live it live.

Plus, there’s always better footage online to watch it back than you can ever capture with your phone.

Does my head in at gigs more than the footy. Nowt worse than this:

I've said this before but I am one of the people that have given up my season ticket over the last few years as well as my uncles and my Dad. A mix of cost and atmosphere but I'd only go to away games now.

The club has to do something about this and given the noise right now I'd surprised if they didn't.
If you gave up your season tickets how do you qualify for away tickets. Or is it just the odd away trip in London that don't sell out that you go to.

Plymouth fans on twitter are saying / estimating between 3k and 4k have tickets in our end. Obviously some will get cancelled. Some of them buying up to 4 each.

A lot of stewards quit after sunday. Probably replaced by poorly trained ones for this weekend.

Well over three figures in terms of ejections at the Madrid home game. Only reason wasn’t high hundreds was because not enough manpower.

The guy leathered in 115 sunday said “i’m not a Liverpool fan i just like mo salah” when confronted on why he was filming the liverpool fans celebrating.

Other Liverpool fans lay low in that block and many chucked out based on their accents straight after turnstiles opened.
Find it hard to believe that up to 11.5k Plymouth fans are making the journey

Their first ever game at the Etihad where the winner of 18 trophies under the greatest manager in the sport play… their biggest away trip ever in the lives of many Plymouth fans.

They sold out an FA Cup final level attendance (35,000) for the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy a few years ago against Bolton.

I take the odd picture inside the ground, the North stand redevelopment, 1894 displays, and club displays before the match has started or at half-time.

But I would never think about filming the match or a goal celebration..

It’s a strange one - spurs stadium. It’s built for atmosphere, but they’ve filled it with tourists and people there to support particular players. The atmosphere is pretty poor now and was better at their old ground
That pic could have been taken from pretty much any section of Colin Bell Level 1.

100% but it’s the way of the world now and it’ll only get worse. People video everything thing now from sports events, concerts and even morbid things like car crashes on motorways

I often snap a quick photo or 15 second video of the SSL1 pre-game display. Just so 1894 can get a good view of what they’ve done.

But then my phone doesn’t come back out until I’m back in the pub.

Even then mates will say, ‘put your phone away you boring **** and get your pint done you’!

I think there is always some guff on fans forums when opposing fans say they have bought 1000's of tickets in the home ends. Yes, there will be plenty of Plymouth fans in the home ends, without wearing their colours, but not 1000's. City have also started cancelling tickets bought by Plymouth fans via recently purchased City membership cards that the club are still selling to anyone. Shall I repeat that again? Still selling to anyone.

Posting about it on a website…

I get strange looks. Nobody has had a go at me yet. There is a growing backlash against fans using their phones filming or taking pictures during the match.

By the time I’d get my phone out unlock it press photo click on video the celebration would have been well calmed down so no point in doing it

In United’s atmosphere section above the tunnel at Old Trafford, phones are banned during the game.

People have notes stuck to their seat when they attend the next game saying something like, ‘we noticed you had your phone out during the last game, we want to remind you that this section of the stadium is dedicated to creating an atmosphere and not for getting phones out and taking your attention away from creating an atmosphere, thank you’.

I think if they’re caught a few times, they are asked to relocate their season ticket from there the next season.

I only take photo’s of my c*ck for Grinder.
They love…..shit. Wrong thread :-(

The odd football photo isnt too bad but filming De Bruyne taking a corner each time - why? Absolutely nobody is that excited about that video and wouldn’t be arsed watching it

I remember an American comedian (think it was Kevin Hart) at the Arena, mobiles were banned and you had to lock your phone away before getting in your seat

Same - like obviously the City matches I've been to I've snapped a few photos being from the US and not being able to go to matches every week so for me obviously it's a special occasion

But like...I'm there to watch the match and support our players. I don't want to fly back and say "wow, didn't I just have a wonderful time BEING ON MY PHONE FOR THIS ENTIRE MATCH I SPENT A LOT OF TIME AND MONEY ATTENDING"
