Away fans / tourists in home sections

Lost my rag a bit yesterday. The familiar faces seem to be getting fewer and fewer around our seats. Replaced by strangers who are clearly on a rare or one off experience. They're either paying more attention to their phone or watching the game through it. I had a couple of lads yesterday, who let's say, looked like they were there for Marmoush and probably Salah. None of my business but... One of them rocks up 10 seconds into the game, looks at his phone and then points to my seat. My response- I'm a season card holder, I'm here every week, that's my fuckin seat.
Fortunately, for both of us he placidly accepted my protestations without further comment. Oh for the days when I could roam the Kippax stand at will.

Mandarin speaking guides you say. Is this a crime or evidence of some tourist takeover? This topic is embarrassing and it will not be long before Man Utd fans and the media find it. Just to make clear, not all City fans support this. This is on the 1894 Group.

Why did this attention seeker return.

Because those tickets aren’t being offered to regular Blues.
I listed our tickets for the derby (first home derby I'd had to miss since 92) and they "sold" within 10 seconds of me listing them. Which is not really physically possible. What clearly happened is they were took off sale to be packaged up by the club for a ton of money.
(Tho it backfired as the people I sit with said no one was in our seats against utd) I got about £40 back for it.

Talksport just using our fans to continue their relentless hatred of the club we support. They will just take the piss

There is that of course but the fans are being backed into a corner. If the club won't listen then they've brought it on themselves. 1894 need to get the point across that it's not just us who have this problem but other clubs as well.

Just logged on to the lap top and an advert for City tickets came up......
Every game available, home and away! Over 1000 for the away derby on sale......
led me to two sites
vividseats.com
mytickets.life
Many are hospitality but many are regular seats.
Over 1000 of our allocation MES?

There are some on here still defend the club, however this banner was taken down at the arsenal game and again at the scouse game. "They don't like it up 'em" and "careful who you criticise" springs to mind.

Banner taken down vs Liverpool was down to Police. City gave the ok for the banner (stop exploiting loyalty)

Was a much better experience then. How I miss them days.

All a bit convenient though, more bad press to come out of not allowing it to be displayed. Gave the ok so those in the ground see it, then send the dibble in to get it moved before tv cameras pick it up, although I think they’ll be briefed not to show it anyway. I’d redesign it so it can be separated in the middle without the club knowing

To be honest I’m all for protest done in the right way but dancing with the devil that is Talkshite wouldn’t be my way.
Fair point but there is a bigger picture at play here. 1894 haven’t been afraid to get digs in against Jordan in the past such as tweeting about him and his missus off GB News sat in a deckchair reading Mein Kampf on holiday ;)

You have to wonder why the Police (GMP) would get involved with taking down a protest banner held up by City and Liverpool fans that had nothing to with the Police, and wasn't causing a problem, then spend the rest of the match all stood on the concourse, talking, laughing, joking, chatting each other up, and basically doing fuck all for the whole match.

I haven't seen protest banners removed at Old Trafford by the Police.(GMP) Protest banners about United's owners are displayed regularly inside the ground.

It's just a bit too convenient that the Police got involved and it had nothing to do with the club. A bit like the previous banner that was removed before kick off because it was hung over the digital advertising boards on SSL2.(as explained by the club after the match)

Wrong. It’s on the club. You really couldn’t be any further off beam with that post. Most match-going United fans will absolutely empathise with a lot of the points raised in this thread, given the issues that arose at their game against Rangers the other week, where it was clear for all to see that the club had sold blocks of tickets in home areas to Rangers fans then tried to gaslight their whole fanbase into thinking it was United fans selling their tickets on.

I suggest you have a read of the below and educate yourself before spouting unfounded bollocks:

Most City fans and football fans want transparency and honesty from their clubs. Unfortunately clubs, or the people who are running the clubs are incapable of doing that, or are not prepared to do that. Instead they will twist the narrative to suit their agenda or just lie.
