Away fans / tourists in home sections

Don’t forget the Swales factor mate. I remember them filling the Platt Lane and Kippax corner, great turnout at the time either way.
Oh yes I remember the Swales factor and some peculiar official attendances in the 80s.

I could usually guess accurately to within 300, but once a season I'd be 5,000 out

However on this occasion you could tell by the gaps behind both goals that 29,000 would be about right

If anything, I was more suspicious about the 20,000 for the midweek LC tie v Watford earlier that season

Watford didn't bring many, but this was just a few weeks after the 10-1 and the other three stands were undoubtedly less spacious than the 19,500 for the Huddersfield game with a genuine buzz surrounding our young players

I couldn't believe it (and still don't) when the two official attendances were only 500 different

City should have given them SSL2.

The remaining tickets would have sold out, with City fans on SSL2 being moved to other parts of the ground.
They couldn’t really give them all of it because the legends hospitality seats are in the middle of it, club aren’t gonna give them up

With the greatest respect:
How on earth would somebody on Twitter know that 3000+ Plymouth fans have bought tickets for the City end?
"A lot of stewards quit after Sunday"?
Really?. Evidence of that?
Evidence of the exact number of madrid eiections yes, withheld to protect our source

Lots of stewards quit after sunday . Yes, multiple sources from people we speak to

Number of plymouth fans keeping quiet or otherwise can only take with a pinch of salt. We were the European champions not so long ago so these figures coming from the Plymouth end fans have been buying tickets.

Not so long ago we went to Blackburn and had thousands in their end when we won promotion

It isn't that hard for someone to say only members who have bought before a certain date and have previous history of at least five home games a season can purchase tickets. It's also not that hard to write some code that can show how many members over the past five years have only purchased one or two tickets per season and all for the same opponent. Then a bit of donkey work scrolling through social media and there may be tell tale signs Mr S. Couser from the Wirral isn't a City fan

Seems low.

Although saying that, only takes a dozen wankers to spark off incidents all around the ground.

This is a watershed moment for the club.

The club either sort this on-going problem out once and for all, or they keep on letting it happen, with worse to come when the expanded North Stand opens.
