Away fans / tourists in home sections

Sales criteria is useless when they allow ticket websites to sell tickets because they don't have the same criteria

What is the City sales criteria when buying a ticket from a ticket touting website or one of City's official ticket touting partners?

At a guess, I would say there isn't any criteria.

Because if there was, those ticket touting websites wouldn't be able to sell the tickets and hospitality packages.

Stopping away fans buying tickets from the OS ticket page is one thing. Stopping them buying tickets from official and unofficial ticket touting websites is another thing all together.

The only reason why city have now cancelled home tickets bought by Plymouth fans is because of what happened on the terraces against Liverpool. The club have to be seen to be doing something. Token gesture?

Another question is, how many tickets have the club cancelled? Have they managed to cancel all the tickets? Will there be any Plymouth fans in the hospitality sections who haven't had their hospitality tickets cancelled?

It's a complete and utter mess brought about by the club and their insatiable appetite to drive match day revenue at all costs.

With a 5:45 kick off on Saturday, and City fans and Plymouth fans on the beer for most of the Afternoon, it's going to be interesting to see what happens in the home sections.

Time to put this to bed now. He was NOT a Blue. I'm in touch with one of the lads who got lifted (for no good reason other than being in the vicinity) and under interview he was told this at Pendlebury.

“he was American, liked both teams but prefered Liverpool. The only place he was able to purchase tickets was in that area of the ground”

The lad is a long standing trusted poster on here and he's asked me to correct some of the misinformation being put out on this forum.

Ta.
Thanks for the info mate. By the way, it wasn’t me saying he was a City fan. That came from St Helens Blue and the person he heard it from

No mate but it would have been more understandable had it been a dipper
Fair enough.

Incidentally, other posters are saying that they don’t believe he was a City fan. Check out Dodge’s post which states he likes both teams but prefers Liverpool. Also @Manchester33 who I think so far is the only eyewitness on this thread said although he didn’t necessarily think he was a Liverpool fan, he wasn’t behaving like a City fan would either as he was filming the Liverpool fans celebrating the first goal with a grin on his face so perhaps more of a neutral than anything.

Sorry mate. Must be a language barrier. Yknow the way you switch from American to Manc. Peace bro.
Not trying to speak any particular way but ok. Match today just reminded me of some of the other issues being discussed in this thread (eg Rangers selling ticket packages in the United home end)

Good win today.

Sounds like a situation where 5 people saw 5 different things

Definitely agree with another point that was made about how it looked like there were people in the block that didn't see what originally happened and started swinging because other people were

Yeah, I’m not convinced he was a blue. Most blues wouldn’t be rushing to film Liverpool fans celebrating.

At best he was one of these football tourist types.

Not that any of this justifies him being leathered.

The guy must have been naive as fuck if he’s actually started filming after Liverpool scored.

Not saying he deserved getting battered as he didn’t.
But for christs sake you would surely have some self awareness and respect for the people around you.

Plymouth fans on twitter are saying / estimating between 3k and 4k have tickets in our end. Obviously some will get cancelled. Some of them buying up to 4 each.

A lot of stewards quit after sunday. Probably replaced by poorly trained ones for this weekend.

Well over three figures in terms of ejections at the Madrid home game. Only reason wasn’t high hundreds was because not enough manpower.

The guy leathered in 115 sunday said “i’m not a Liverpool fan i just like mo salah” when confronted on why he was filming the liverpool fans celebrating.

Other Liverpool fans lay low in that block and many chucked out based on their accents straight after turnstiles opened.

I have had a reply from the club regarding my complaint about being sat next to away fans for numerous games, particularly Liverpool and United:

Thanks for getting in touch. We take all feedback regarding fan safety concerns very seriously and we'll ensure your message is shared with the correct departments. The details regarding away supporters in these seats has been passed to our Ticket Compliance Department to add to their investigation.

We want all general admission tickets to be used by Manchester City fans so we can create the best possible atmosphere and experience for our fans while continuing to ensure a safe environment in the process.

To help with this, we include sales criteria for high-profile matches so tickets are prioritised for fans who have attended matches before, and our Ticket Compliance Department, as well as our Safety and Security Department, work proactively to identify any potential away ticketholders before, during and after the match.

Anyone who is found to break the terms and conditions of our ticket policy will have their ticket cancelled, and they will be subject to a ban in line with the Club’s sanctions and bans policy.

Thanks
Manchester City
Do they count all the tickets they dish out to their partners as ‘General Admission’?

As I've posted previously, it's an absolute shambles, and it has been getting worse, season after season.
.
The CEO and directors have instigated this, turned a blind eye to, whilst knowing what is going on, and now they are panicking, trying to rectify the situation that has got out of their control.
