Away fans / tourists in home sections

A quick update for those that are interested, not that anyone should be, but a few posters on here might well be in my position in the future, which is primarily why I'm sharing my tale of woe.

I'm appearing in Court in Uxbridge tomorrow afternoon to answer the charges laid against me following my Brentford incident. My solicitor is applying for an adjournment as I have only been given 10 days to build a defence, which is totally inadequate.

They have also spoken to The Met Police to ask why it is that I've been asked to report to Hounslow PS next week for biometrics, when this could have been done tomorrow to save a further visit to London. They have also asked why I've been asked to visit a police station that closed down last year....I kid you not. So, its now Charing Cross tomorrow ahead of Court.

They are also questioning the legality of MCFC banning me from ALL games involving the club whilst the investigation is ongoing. MCFC have the right to ban me from the Etihad Campus, but no right to ban me from another clubs property. They do not have the authority to do this. Anyone who has had the ban letter following the Liverpool arrests might want to take this up with their legal representatives.

On the subject of legal advice, I am using a firm called Football Law Associates who were recommended by the FSA. If anyone needs representation, these are the guys to use. They only deal with football related cases (which tells you how many fans are currently subject to court proceedings) and their knowledge of the kind of charges being brought against regular supporters is second to none. They advocate fairer treatment of fans and they are all ex-FSA lawyers.

Anyway....up the fucking Blues.
Good luck with it all pal

They say it’s part of the terms and conditions that these eight third party seller sites that are account managed and closely monitored only sell to Manchester City fans.

Two questions.

1. How do you prove you’re a Manchester City fan on these third party sites?
2. If you’re a Manchester City fan, why wouldn’t you just buy it straight from the club?

Let’s take the Real Madrid game for example.

The police/club have cctv on all blocks all over the ground as we’ve seen with the Liverpool incidents.

The amount of Madrid fans in the home sections sold via these sites was a joke.
Every single one of these 8 official ticket partners sold tickets to Madrid fans without a doubt.

Now by the clubs t&c’s, all is needed is to prove one ticket was sold to non-city fans which would be easy - so why have the club not done this and terminated the contracts with not one of these 3rd party sites?

All these Utd, Chelsea, Arsenal, Madrid, Liverpool, Feyernoord fans in the home end and not one of these 3rd party 8 contracts have been suspended or cancelled.

But they have no problem suspending or cancelling seasoncards within hours

It’s because City are money grabbing cowards

I am going to share my recent story. I was born and have lived in Cornwall all my life, and since birth I have loved football and my Dad (having moved down in his teen years) made sure I supported City. I had to suffer the likes of Nicky Summerbee and David Brightwell growing up! (There are an enormous amounts of great memories too!).

From 96 onwards, we had season tickets. (Yes, up and back on a Saturday). Time goes by, and Dad and I have tended to go to games a few times a year up until pre-covid. Dad, is now a bit older and would rather not do long distance travel and stay at home and relax; My Mrs has been harping on about coming to watch us for the last 3-4 years, so booked up tickets for the City Plymouth game. (5th round FA cup, tickets easy). Booked up hotel, dog kennels, etc, and had an e-mail through (that went through to junk mail) stating:

There was no contact number whatsoever, and it linked through the to help section on the City web site. My Dad has managed the tickets through his membership and the paper tickets before that for the last 20 odd years. I stupidly bought the tickets through my account (that has been open for several years) for the pure use of buying presents for family.

I genuinely feel disillusioned. Was this all my fault?

By the way, I live 48 miles away from Plymouth.
very good reason for telling the missus you're moving back to Manchester and spending more time on the beach.

We're still heavy on ST holders in my part of 315, but nowhere near what it was like prior to Covid and I'd assume from my own eyes that where I am up there that it's a legacy stronghold.

It'd be interesting what BM members see around themselves pre lockdown to now.

I'd be very surprised if we've got 30k ST holders now.

"Don't take my bloody season ticket off me!"

The stewarding at Brentford was a disgrace, stewards going through people’s wallets, since when was that a thing

Best of luck today .

Why haven’t the club got a record of your season ticket purchases? If that was me I would have been straight on the phone and demanded tickets reinstated. Even now I would phone to demand they compensated me for any money lost. Utter disgrace. First thing they should have done is linked any new memberships bought after the draw was made to any first time purchases. That would have flushed out 99% of Plymouth fans. To do what they have done to you just shows the utter contempt they have for fans, meanwhile they carry on with their own touting whilst gaslighting everyone.

Thank you Alex.
Two quick questions:
Who takes the minutes for this meeting?
Why is the Ticket Compliance Manager the only one without a surname? Unless of course his surname is just B.
The Club take the minutes, and we can then propose amends. I often have a lot of suggestions, not all of them are accepted by the Club. I accept that it’s not the best way to produce them.

The Club state that they do not want to share his surname so that he can undertake his investigations with anonymity.

Alex do me a favour pal? Tell the club from me they have become contemptible cunts?

Hi pal. Sorry to hear about this. Can you personal message me your supporter number and I’ll pick this up.

Well, it might be 550 to those 8 affiliated agencies, it might not, but there are many more non-affiliated online agents selling City tickets to watch City... we need to know how folk are selling tickets like this (beyond the club), how can they do this (email ticket with link?), can the club track who is doing it?, can anything be done for it?

it'll be very hard to weedle out all the nonsense daytrippers but there's never only 550 in the ground at some games.

I take it you and your legal team have searched up on the internet about over zealous Brentford stewarding? I just read one from a seemingly inoffensive Bournemouth fan who was being frisked and then felt a hand go in his pocket at which he quite naturally moved away and said you can’t do that and said I’ll get my own wallet out. After which 2 stewards grabbed his arms, pulled him away to a different area at which time a senior steward came over and said he was being denied entry for not complying with their terms and that once such a decision had been made by a steward it wouldn’t be reversed. Seems they have a reputation for this, WITH AWAY FANS only of course. I’ve seen it myself with Brentford stewards and Blued, so much so that when I took my 18 year old this season I told him pre entry to just do what they say

Thank you Alex. On another thread, after I had posted my questions, I saw that someone else had posted his surname. Very strange from the club.

I’ve been at the ticket office early a number of times collecting away tickets and some day trippers just buy memberships on the day that get them in the lower profile games. Why would there be only 550 day trippers in the ground if the touting sites linked to the Club sell they many and there are other more legitimate ways of getting tickets.
