Browns on Grey Street has just opened on Grey Street. Nice in there..

Most of the pubs are pretty good and you will be spoilt for choice.

You can do better than Union Rooms. Normally places have strippers on on match days. City Vaults on the Bigg market does.

Avoid these pubs at all costs:

The Bee hive
The Black Garter
Pumfreys
Rose and Crown

Will the police designate an away pub?

Doubt it. It isn't rough at all generally and is a nice city centre.

You will be welcomed in every pub if you don't give it the big one.

Staying in Newcastle after the game to watch Swansea. Is anyone else and where are they watching it. Would be good to get a pub full of Blues (especially if we win) supporting them. I reckon even the Geordies would be supporting them with us

We're a reasonably friendly bunch up here. Everything is also slap-bang in the middle of the city centre, so you have everyone of all ages wandering around throughout the city. It's not like some desolate area filled with only football fans.

Just don't be a cocky knob and you'll be absolutely fine.

Agree with the avoid list. Most places are fine & if you don't attract attention to yourself ala Colliery Tavern in Sunderland last season, you'll be fine. The exiled North East Lost Boys are looking forward to welcoming our Blue brothers(& Sisters) to the Toon.

get back to percy street after the game, theres plenty of pubs along there and opposite haymarket that will have the footy on

if any blues are out in newcastle on the saturday night, group of us gonna be starting off in a bar called sam jacks before heading down the clubs. PM me if ya fancy a big blues night out pre-newcastle and we'll get it sorted
