Someone mentioned it a few posts back, but from my experience The Head of Steam pub, which I believe is literally next door to the train station (hence the name), was always a good boozer. Worth a pint in at least after getting off the train.

When drinking in the town don't come across as billy big bollocks, heard a whisper from someone itk that some of the Geordies aren,t very happy that we have tickets in their end, and some of their tastier element will be on the look out for some mither

Newcastle is a great awaydayer - usually you can drink everywhere. Love it. Were out in Durham on the saturday night - hopefully it will be a belter of a weekend.
re; union room - good shout, its a massive pub with several rooms and loads of tele's. u need to turn right as you come out of the station .
re; head of steam - nice pub, a bit pricey last time we were in, but a good shout for a final beer before your train

were out on the sunday, where is everyone watching the swansea game
your spoilt for choice for watching the man u game when our game is over,one of the best and closest is fluid bar just along gallowgate plenty of screens upstairs and down,will more than likely be showing ours on a dodgy channel for anyone up without tickets. beers rank like,remember this is our last home game of the season so whatever happens on sunday we will be stopping in the ground at the end to celebrate the end of a fantastic season for us,so you lot will be able to nab the best seats in all the bars,when we finally arrive you will find the majority of us will be cheering swansea on,never forgive those bastards for 1996

Is there a main pub that everyone is heading to? It seems as though there's so much choice that everyone will end up in different places and no atmosphere.
