away support

I suppose , at fifty odd quid a ticket , some of their supporters thought 'fuck that' ..... and others will have put off by the timing of the game.

Yeah, really can't blame 'em for thinking "fuck that". Ridiculous ticket price for a league game & I hope that it's never repeated this season (apart from the Stretford Scum of course)...

.

I live here and it's the price that has put many of their fans off.

Having said that, their away support last season was pretty good so I am still a bit surprised thay haven't managed to sell out.

The time and day of the game is no excuse, I travel up for nearly every home game.

Went down there once either boxing day or new years day in the early 90's. We lost three nil and I was ill as fuck with flu

On Bernard from chaddertons coach, good laugh but seriously why do we play at places so far away on holidays

This season we away to slumberland on boxing day and Norwich on new years. That is a joke.

the chaddy branch would have been in full swing in those days, happy days..

looks like southampton havent sold there ticket allocation for sunday on there website it says tickets on open sale untill noon on friday then the remaining tickets will be returned to manchester city box office where they can be bought on the day of the match, so if your desperate for a ticket you know the score

Southampon have cocked up as they haven't sold them in blocks ,so the returns cant be sold to city fans cos we can't have safe segregation. I am told they will be liable for the costs though

Expensive cock up then.

Bumpkin club.

Remember going to Southampton on a Monday night when we got back in the Prem under Royle. Won 2 nil, still one of the best away days I have had to this day. Sometimes football and odd kick off times do mix!

I was there that day as well. Top day.

I think Tiatto scored?

Those were the days that I'd travel to Southampton on a week day night when the game is on the telly... ah, the spirit of youth...
I remember it well, had a couple of pints in.pub owned by a Pompey fan, he told us to go back in if we won, and he got us a drink in

Tried to visit Stonehenge before the game but there were fences for miles around

We went into to top half of the table then lost the next five on the bounce.

People complaining the view at the back of Anfield Road should have tried the back of the Dell Upper tier.

I remember it as well. You hanging out of my car window singing "Tia, tia tiatto tiatto tiattoooo" and Lou being embrassed at the behaviour of her Dad. Some things never change ;-)

fat chance of that

walking through all the chinese is Arsenal tops singing 'the only football team to come from manchester' and 'championes' whilst under the influence was an embarrassment to all three of them who kept trying to shush me up
i just thought that we should show them what a 'real' atmosphere was like so they get a genuine idea of a PL game
