Yeah, really can't blame 'em for thinking "fuck that". Ridiculous ticket price for a league game & I hope that it's never repeated this season (apart from the Stretford Scum of course)...

I live here and it's the price that has put many of their fans off.

Having said that, their away support last season was pretty good so I am still a bit surprised thay haven't managed to sell out.

The time and day of the game is no excuse, I travel up for nearly every home game.

Away support is dying a death across the premier league.

The cost is just too much for someone who has a family and bills to pay.

£45-50 is now the norm and it's completely unaffordable for some.

looks like southampton havent sold there ticket allocation for sunday on there website it says tickets on open sale untill noon on friday then the remaining tickets will be returned to manchester city box office where they can be bought on the day of the match, so if your desperate for a ticket you know the score

Southampon have cocked up as they haven't sold them in blocks ,so the returns cant be sold to city fans cos we can't have safe segregation. I am told they will be liable for the costs though

Remember going to Southampton on a Monday night when we got back in the Prem under Royle. Won 2 nil, still one of the best away days I have had to this day. Sometimes football and odd kick off times do mix!

I was there that day as well. Top day.

Those were the days that I'd travel to Southampton on a week day night when the game is on the telly... ah, the spirit of youth...

I remember it well, had a couple of pints in.pub owned by a Pompey fan, he told us to go back in if we won, and he got us a drink in

We went into to top half of the table then lost the next five on the bounce.
