away support

Away support is dying a death across the premier league.

The cost is just too much for someone who has a family and bills to pay.

£45-50 is now the norm and it's completely unaffordable for some.
It wasn't long ago that a low attendance from visiting fans was something like 1500 from Watford on a Wednesday night. Now that's the norm on a weekend.

Off the top of my head only seven of the nineteen teams sold out their allocation last season at the Etihad.
(Swansea, Norwich, Arsenal, Everton, United twice, QPR and Tottenham).

Liverpool (although they did come twice in one week) didn't sell out either allocation.

SIX of nineteen!

Clubs took the sale or return lower allocation and sold out didn't they?

Like we do at Chelsea.

To me that's not selling out. I say we haven't sold out at Chelsea Spurs Fulham Sunderland for years.

Sunderland was not reduced by choice.

If the fans bought all available tickets and there are non left for sale for either side it probably is a sell out.

Didn't Newcastle also sell out as I think this was the biggest home attendance until the QPR game.

1685 Newcastle fans there.

Spurs (47422) was the biggest before QPR.

Only Spurs (2804) and Everton (2826) brought more than 2800 to the Etihad last season (discounting Rags and Lpool for the cup games).

wether you like it or not we sold out all those fixtures last season
the fans can't be held responsible for the club's decision in London, and churlish to suggest we didn't sell out Sunderland
