Away ticket criteria

I have lower points than you, and I've managed some away games this season, to bigger games than you might expect (Spurs and Real this week). The mid-week or late kick-offs are most likely, and anything south of the Watford gap always has a chance, even against Arsenal and the like. Anything in the north west is always going to be a struggle, but there's lads who have been going for home and away for years where I haven't been so I understand why they are first in line.

Im in my 60’s and I’m thinking of going to try and go to some aways next season. I’ve been a season ticket for years but only have around 7000 points which probably won’t allow me to qualify for anything. Do we have any type of ballot like what the rags have or am I pretty much destined to be an armchair away fan for a lifetime now?
Off the top of my head

Arsenal, Spurs, Brighton, Leicester, Palace, Southampton and Norwich have all gone below 7k points this season.

I'm on 9k and ive only missed Newcastle, United, Watford, Everton and Burnley in the league. Had a couple where I've relied on asking around but on 7k I reckon you get at least 10 in the league alone

Always wondered why City dont do a ballot of some type so everyone gets a fair chance?
Why should they? im only on 13,000 pts, them on 20,000+ did more hard miles than me & deserve 1st pick of any away, total respect to them why should they suffer due to a ballot? just my opinion :)

Get on the cup schemes and you will get most / if not all of the cup aways. You will get about half of premier league games depending on what falls when. Last game/first game/boxing day are usually as popular as Utd/Liverpool/Everton/Burnley.

22k point hasnt been enough for 3 games this season but thats the way it goes now we are winning, personally I preferred going places like Wycombe/ Southend / Reading when "the same old faces" were there and no-one seemed to be bothered that they always got the tickets.

22k wasnt enough for Brentford, Burnley, Liverpool this year. Only used to be Bournemouth I couldnt get tickets for due to small allocation, but seem to be dropping down the pecking order despite paying platinum and on all cup schemes. More tickets are definitely coming out of the pot and going somewhere

You could get to quite a few aways with 7k points. Our points system is far better and much fairer than a ballot
