Away tickets

I wouldn’t be surprised if this goes to general sale.

I’ve had to cancel ticket orders for a few Blues who’ve said it’s a midweeker and I’ve got to be up for work for 6am. Fair enough but I had to bite my lip. I’m sure many of have us gone into work after not being to bed after a midweek game lol. Come on City!
Yeah don’t understand that one, you just need to go to bed earlier the night after.

It’s the other way round where it’s a problem. If you don’t finish work until 18:00 there’s no way you can go to Newcastle, you’d struggle with Everton st that time. If you can’t take time off at such short notice as a few weeks like the Everton fixture and you finish at 19:00 you’re not going to be able to go.

Work always get in the way but Everton is a great opportunity for those on low points. The traffic around Manchester is a killer for those who work normal hours. I read recently that London and Manchester are in the top ten most congested cities in the world just below places like Hong Kong and some third world places. I would use the train more but the service in the UK is shit, especially late at night. Transport is a big factor for a lot of people on the wrong side of the M60.

And there we have it, another City away game has gone to general sale.

Anyone coming up with "but it's midweek" or "but it's short notice" - if it was Liverpool away do you think it would have gone to general sale?

All this bollocks we've heard about stopping points, trying to give allocations specifically for 18-25's, ballot's, points whores etc. etc...

People who haven't played the ticket points system are only arsed about United away, Liverpool away, the tinpot allocation for cup games and knock out European games. That is the end of it.

What it shows, like the Newcastle game, is that we have a relatively small group of fans - probably around 750/800 - who put going to games above anything else. Then there's another group who don't.

I have the greatest respect for that first group but I also respect those who put in the effort to go when they can, taking into account work, family, etc.

I can't stand it when people choose to use their self-proclaimed super-fan status to belittle those who make a different choice to them. Everyone makes choices and making one choice doesn't make someone any better or worse than someone who makes a different choice.

thing is you never hear a word from the "super fans", its only the part timers that moan. no super fan comes on unless its in retaliation from the "fans" that want equality on obtaining tickets, only for the big games of course.

By using the phrase "Part Timer", you're merely reinforcing Colin's point.

I'm lucky, because I work near Stockport train station, and can catch a relatively late train to Liverpool next Wednesday.

Other's aren't so fortunate, and due to the short notice, can't make arrangements.
That's the issue around this particular fixture. Nothing to do with loyalty whatsoever.

So Liverpool away wouldn't have sold out then?

nobody said it was. its a clear split. those that go to every game they can and those who want to pick and choose. when they can't get a ticket for a game of their choice they blame the system, truth is the "blame" lies with themselves. want points? then go to the bloody games, even the less popular ones.
