Away tickets

I won't disagree but where are the corporates for the Palace game or the Swansea game etc but you just know that the derby will sell out at 19,000+ if not more because so few will go on actual sale. Brighton away if we can win the title will be interesting as well. Anyone remember what Southampton last year sold out at for the last game of the season?

I would like to see the Derby made points only and the rest of the system left as it is (accepting the couple of tweaks City Matters have agreed with the Club).

Brighton allocate a similar amount I think so it will be interesting to see what it sells out at if we need points for the title.

Just under 3,000 for Brighton which sold out at 15,500 though new ground, first game of the season and sunny weekend by the sea.

I just fail to see how anyone can move up the ladder for the big games if points aren't awarded for away matches as everyone effectively stays on the points they have now.

do the corporate gang actually care about the away tickets? i get the impression they just sell them on. what im trying to say is if city took away the away ticket allocation from corporate would they see any fall in demand? someone with enough money to spend 13k+ a year wouldnt struggle getting a ticket for whatever game anyway if they really wanted to go...

It bites the club on the arse when fans just think “ah fuck this, not bothering anymore, they don’t give a shit about years of support” and fans just fall away.

And it’s not just casual fans, there are fans who went home and away for decades who don’t go anymore.

Then we have the situation like the Wembley semifinal; where are all these foreign nobodies when it comes to those ticket sales?.. nowhere to be seen! Yet the club are losing core supporters year after year. Whether it’s through stuff like this with away tickets or the 200% rise in SeasonCards in eight years, the continual lack of “Manchester” about the club, pushing the Moon as our core identity for a few years was a load of shite, moving fans out of their seats to create corporate areas that are never ever full, “Welcome to our visitors from Indonesia” on the big screen, taking the Prem trophy on a World tour... I think they’ve done it wrong. They need to look more locally. Think of the club as MANCHESTER City and not like some Hollywood film that needs promoting worldwide.
Brilliant post summed my feelings up exactly

I think you mean the person on borderline points who misses out because people on 4,000 points are in a supporters club or because the club have siphoned off over a 1,000 for whoever is wealthy

No, I meant what I wrote.

Bang on. Let them spend £300 plus if they're that desperate to go

Game like that should be points only
