Away tickets

So someone could now get a derby ticket in their first year of being a seasoncards holder(18-25) than some poor fucker who's still struggling to reach that points total, still doesn't sit well with me although i know something has to be done though.

It must limit the number selected for checking to a couple of dozen. I can't see the home clubs wanting to process hundreds of away tickets on match day.

Can’t see it being more half a dozen or so but it’s gonna cause chaos and opposing club aren’t gonna welcome it
It stinks and will alienate a lot of people

If they have stopped points for away games surely that then stops the need for the so called points whoring anyway! More gestapo style bullshit from the franchise to shit on the real fans. If you really want a ticket though you can't get one or give one to a mate anymore but corporate and rip off websites that the club will have a hand in are absolutely fine.

I doubt they will actually do this. It's probably just a scare tactic and like you say, there's probably no need because people won't be buying tickets to sell on for the points.

Apart from that, I think the changes are flawed and a compromise but a step in the right direction. It'll be great to see a lot more young'uns at the games too next season.

If they’re stopping points for away games, that’s the end of the point whores... so why is there a need for ticket collection at destination ?

If they can’t get tickets now they won’t in the future because now only home games carry points so every season card holder gets the same points so know one moves up the ladder
Suits me but as you say no one stands a chance now ! How many regular high points people just bought the tickets to sell on ?
20-30 maybe as most of us go regardless

Well done To City Matters and our Forum rep.

You’ve achieved something Thatcher never managed. Forcing us to carry ID cards to football matches @ninjamonkey

There is more to come in the next few years. I was in a meeting recently attended by an FA representative who stated that access to Wembley is going to be by mobile app only by the time the Euro 2020 games are played there, which will require contact details, address etc. and it will be linked to travel ticket purchase to and from the ground. The purpose of it is mainly to allow Police to identify individuals who carry out unlawful or anti social activities on public transport traveling to and from games.
It will contain geolocation features to track where fans are to differentiate between late and no show fans.
He also expected this to be rolled out to all PL grounds in the coming years .Big Brother is watching you!

West Ham away, all your mates are drinking in town, and you have to leave them all to ensure you get your ticket from West ham ticket office, wow sounds a right fun day out. A big well done to the rep for alienating the most
loyal fans
Stupid isn’t it?

The club clearly don’t understand football culture!

A minibus full of lads are not fucking going to go with their mate to the ticket office of an away ground if he’s been selected, they’re going to laugh at the lad who has to go on his own.

Farce!

What a strange system.

It makes no sense to purchase a ticket expecting it to arrive in the post and then have to wait to find out if it actually will be sent or collected on the day.

They must know from the outset which are being sent out and which are subject to a check.

To also not mention the application of platinum going forward at renewal is poor.
