Away tickets

Oh I totally agree with you. The issue isn't, and never has been, supporters reselling. It has been the squeeze on availability to those who have earnt the loyalty.

I tend to agree that the club needs to embrace younger supporters and don't think I would have any problem if the 5% was simply 5% of the allocation. We do know where none of the 5% will be taken from though.

The thing that gets my goat, and I do think we are singing from the same page here, is that this was apparent years ago. Once you start raising the bar a little at a time it is only a matter of time before it reaches the top. Far too many of our support were comfortable with their place in the queue just 3/4 years ago .... some of those are now looking over their shoulders as they appear to be getting the squeeze for West Ham.

The time to fight was the moment 'any' of our loyal support started to get frozen out. Problem is that unless you see City's long term planning you genuinely don't give a shit as long as you (and that's a general you as in any of us) are ok.

City Matters were mana from heaven for the club. Regardless of their intentions the club statement today has laid all responsibility for the changes at their door and suggested we are all in agreement. What we can do as supporters? I haven't the foggiest …. but rest assured those sitting comfy on 24k, and away from the corporate areas, they're coming for your away ticket next.

It may be too late but unless something is done we'll be balloting for all non corporate away tickets before too long

I agree - and it will be a residual amount of around 10% for high demand games.

Success on the field is not worth this for me, I would rather be 15th and have proper fans again.

Sorry, but if many blues think that younger people should be given some form of equal opportunity, whilst others (like Bill) don’t give a flying fuck, then this debate will always reach a stand-off.

However, at 54 years of age, with enough loyalty points for every match, (but not the vanity to assume the role of self-appointed super fan), I can see both points of blue.

In fact, as soon as Bournemouth do the decent thing, and get relegated, then we can all relax and reserve our fury for the distribution of 3,000 ticket allocation for the swamp, as opposed to the mid 70s when our fury was reserved for the distribution of 7,500 ticket allocation at the swamp.

Eventually, I expect the points system to be amended to a 5 year rolling period. However, this won’t reduce public accusations of “points whoring” often from people who’ve privately just benefitted from the same anomaly.

A far more practical solution would be a different system for the European games so that those fans who travelled to Lyon and Hoffenheim got first bite of the cheery for Schalke and Tottenham. However, my suggestion fell on deaf ears last season

Anyway, Good Luck to Colin and the others who sacrifice so much time for so little reward.

Good post mate.

Like you, I'm not someone who stands to benefit from letting 18-25 years olds go either but it's not hard to see that they're hugely disadvantaged by the current system so reform was needed. Whatever change the CM reps proposed, it wasn't going to please everyone but neither does the status quo. Bar the collecting from the ground - which I reckon is just a scare tactic, I think this is largely an improvement. There are still flaws but I suppose a gradual change is easier to implement and deal with than a complete overhaul for now.

Abso-fucking-lutely!

The constant price rises of seasoncards, the constant pandering to nobodies, the constant reduction of away tickets in favour of these nobodies, constant “fuck you” by City to core supporters... it stinks!

People just pull their pants down and let Soriano shove his pecker up their ricker though and shout “but we’re the best, it’s the price of success”.

However, we had a chance to do all this differently to the ****y clubs. We had a chance to be a standout club who looked after their core supporters who were there, staunchly, when we were down the divisions or not scoring goals.

We blew that chance to be different though and we are just another United, just another Barça, just another Liverpool or Arsenal.

There never needs to be a graph that shows the better you get on the pitch, the more of a **** you can be to your core supporters. Just because other clubs have done it over the years, doesn’t mean that’s the rule.

It’s such a shame!

I hate all this far more than any shit media article written about us.

I’ve seen mentions of the criteria for the West Ham game but not received notification from the club so can someone point me in the direction of said criteria please? I go on the website & it shows me that it is restricted sale but won’t let me go any further!! :-) Thankyou

My son's 16 and has 14k points that he's earnt by attending all home matches and a handful of aways (not the big ones) each season. If he didn't qualify for West Ham under his own points I was hoping to pull him through as a junior when I qualify but as I'm just short of 19k I don't think that there'll be any pull throughs left by then. Why should he miss out so that others who have had between 2 and 9 years more than he has to earn points get to jump to the front of the queue?

Since we had a City matters rep we have achieved.
An increase in season cards prices
Platinum sold under false pretenses
Thomas Cook guaranteed euro tickets
18 25 ballot that's not a ballot but free for all
Completely worthless home point system
ID system Thatcher couldn't implement.

Untouched
Supporter club abuse
Corporate abuse
Sponser / club partner abuse
Third party site reselling abuse
Absolute disgrace all done with no fan input!!!

Past caring, the rep has single handedly removed my motivation to go the extra yard, shitty mid week games miles from home with the potential to have to collect tickets after generally nightmare journeys, I have had that joy a few times because of the ticket office, to do it by choice, no thanks
