Green Day
Blink-182
Fall Out Boy
All American Rejects
Sum 41

I hate that American punk rock/pop crap.

Green Day were good, love the cover of 'Time of my life' and the Dookie album had some good tunes, all the rest you mentioned are pretty shite

however, one Blink 182 song - the cover of 'I miss you' i really like

Time of Your Life is actually called Good Riddance and I am pretty sure it is not a cover.

I Miss You is also not a cover.

Space.

How bad were they? Heard one of their awful 'hits' on the radio the other day.

Love this tune

Loved that song.

Space were very different, odd songs, not like most bands. Spiders was very unique but tin planet started to sound too generic unfortunately

I'd no way have them in the awful bracket

im adding the courteeners to the list, they tried claiming to be the best band on the planet.

That's a daft thing to say. Hopefully they were misquoted.

What about these complete twats?

this is going to sound strange, but I gave up on most music a long time ago.

I found almost everything in the past couple of decades to be repetitive, uninspiring, souless and talentless. However, in hindsight I was probably just not exposed to the right type of music.

I still don't like a lot of stuff that is in the charts, but I do have a softspot for bands like Mumford and Sons.

As for awful, its very subjective.

I could never really understand the love for bands like Oasis (some excellent songs, a lot very dull), or Keane, Kasabian, and as for the likes of Blink 182 mentioned above, I cannot stand them.

I've always liked the likes of the Beatles, the stones, probably influenced by my old man, and enjoy the likes of Ry Cooder, The Band, Tom Waits. Not sure why, the music just appealed to me.

My sister is a musician, however, and is very snobbish when it comes to music, I think maybe she had an impact on my attitude, either by making me more selective, or by complaining so much about popular music that I got bored of her whining and stopped listening to it.

There's a belief that The Beatles were the worst thing to happen in music because they were too perfect. They'll never be topped and everything will never seem to be as good.

Who believes that ? Overrated Scouse boyband with a few good tunes. Take That piss all over them.

I suppose record sales and influence mean nothing!

On that basis, One Direction are the best band in the world...

Lennon was talented and I love Hey Jude, the rest is dire

99.9% of music shit. Thats what makes the good stuff so great.
I dont listen to a certain genre, i just know what i like. From Folk to Death Metal to Bachata to Russian Chanson. Its all gravy baby
