And both probably have little to do with his 'lack of caps' as there are worse players who have gotten caps.

That said, I share your sentiment of not been sold yet on Laporte. But so far so good. This is going to be another test for him

No conflating - they were two separate points.
 
He was great. He and Stones have a great partnership going and it's time Pep stopped messing with it.
