I don't buy the idea he's not being picked because he's a bit of a loner and maybe has the odd issue here and there with other players. You think Mbappe wouldn't be getting called up if he was a bit of a loner with a bit of an attitude? Weren't we hearing this kind of stuff with Sané too at one point?

Deschamps isn't calling him up because he's a stubborn bastard, and selecting Laporte would be an act of weakness in his eyes.

It will be admission he was wrong. I've seen this before with other players and other countries.

HellH eventually get called up and will make the team.to the next major competition.

Where it sucks for him personally, as this us a slight. It's great for us. And in reality, let the other scrubs go play the qualifiers. You really wanna be there for the tournament :)

Yup. I reckon he'll be in the first squad of whoever replaces Deschamps after they have their next player revolution or whatever.
 
My only problem with him is that anytime he scores we don't get to win that match.
 
What a player.

3 goals this season for us. All important. Van Dijk yet to score...
