After VAR, he cost us a place in the semi finals. Sergio penalty miss also.

But to have such a great season and make such errors in a game of this magnitude is a shock. Would of been less surprised if Kompany made them actually.

He was visably rocked after the mistakes. If Pep has some sense he’ll keep him out of the team for the next games, we have more than worthy replacements.
He did some mistakes yesterday, but he`s still our best CB. Better than Kompany as well IMO. We need him the next games

I think the best thing Pep can do is play him tbh

He needs to play. Pep benching him would totally destroy his confidence.

the key reason we are not through is Peps team selection in first leg. Put even more simply, playing Delph and not playing Kevin in the first leg. WE would not have lost if DeBuyne had played. Really strange decision. I don't see Barcleona resting Messi or Juve resting Ladyboy. Love Pep but that decision cost us.

Laporte had a very poor game but has been one of our top three or four players for the season.

I disagree. Missing the pen cost us. As for your looking glass, we will never know

It’s not a key reason though is it. We may have played better in the first leg with a few different players but that’s all circumstantial. If we look at the facts, it’s the players faults that ultimately cost us Ederson, Laporte and the penalty miss. Unfortunately, we’re all obsessed with finger pointing rather than looking at the positives due to the most of the public being media led.

with Kevin playing as he is, we would not have lost the first leg. The team selection for the first leg was bizarre and we paid the price. Agueros miss was just another chance missed in the dozen or so we had over the two legs (albeit the most straightforward). Delph was culpable for a goal, Laporte for 2 and Vinnie for Spurs 3rd when he missed his headed clearance. Shit happens and mistakes are made. Pep has to carry the can I'm afraid. He is a wonderful coach and I hope he is with us for years but he dropped a bollock in this tie.

You are making an assertion based on nothing but a gut feeling. I could simply say, we play our best 11 in the first leg and we would have lost and picked up a critical injury to Kev. Both are simply speculative

It is the key reason for me. Hence I am not blaming the players - its pointless.
