Is he really that good? How can we be sure we're not going to spend about £60 million on another Otamendi but without the beard?

Didn't Otamendi have the best defensive stats in La Liga, yet he seems to spend an inordinate amount of time sitting on his arse or diving in, and he's poor in the air. Is Laporte better than Vermaelen, Koscielny or as good as Terry in his prime? We need a centre back that good, no more Mangalas or Otamendis.

He has the best Defensive stats in the Premier league now too.

Strike that, he has the best stats for CBs in the 5 major leagues.

I can't believe people still have it put for Otamendi, but Laporte would be a great addition to the squad to pair with Nico or Stones. Possibly even Vinny if he can finally shake the injuries.

No I am saying if the team plays the way Pep wants them too, we won't need a keeper with exceptional shot stopping skills. That will allow Bravo to do what he was brought in to do. Its quite simple.
