so if laporte comes is otamendi out then?? no way surely of keeping vinny, laporte, stones and otamendi happy?
Reading some of the quotes from Ota you would think he might be considering his future with us anyway.

"Nicolas Otamendi uncertain where he'll be playing next season and has 'important' offers from clubs. [Super Deporte] "

Don't know if we'll be back in for Laporte, but I'm pretty sure we will sign a centre half this summer. Four centre halves seems sensible, considering one of them is particularly injury prone.

You might say Sanchez " burnt us" when he turned us down for Barca? I would still consider he could make a good City acquisition.

Admittedly I didn't follow the Alexis transfer like I followed Laporte so I can't comment with full conviction but it seems like Apples and oranges.

"I want to learn from players like Lionel Messi and Xavi Hernández—and I want to help the club win more titles,"

Going from Udinese to Barca over city seems reasonable. Was he nailed on and agreed to sign? Also have the entire city hierarchy expecting him in that day and then he ended up fucking us over near the end of the window when two cb's was always the plan like Laporte did? If so Alexis can fuck right off too. Wouldn't surprise me if he ended up at Bayern at all if that was the case. Hope option #2 is up there because you just don't trust wishy-washy people who can't commit IMO.

We could do with one that can cover left back too though, as rumours stand the only real cover for left back is Kolarov, not sure if Laporte has played at left back or not.

If Otamendi goes can see 2 CB signings

Laporte young very good CB but little experience leaving injury prone Vinny as only experienced CB

I know Alex played their last season but can't see Pep being reliant on just him

Going a bit off thread here. It was 2011 and we were trying to convince him to join our "project", he was an exciting young player, it seemed a straight battle between us and Barca, he chose Pep's all conquering Barca. No problem from me with that, but some City fans were unhappy at the time.

Laporte has been poor last season, he will cost 60M, and i hate him for what he did last summer. If we gonna spend 60M on a defender it should be Bonucci.
