I shouldn't let it annoy me. But I am getting sick of reading posts by fans of other clubs about us that are utter nonsense. Read a lot of stuff on Newcastle sites last week too that was just utter bollocks. There seem to be dozens of very popular and very negative myths about City and our support at the moment that other fans just lap up and believe when even the slightest application of some logic would tell them that they're not true. Then again lots of football supporters are very very stupid people I suppose.

it gets to me as well, especially when you have a gander on twitter. They still think we as a club turnover £30 a year and then the sheikh tops our revenue to £500 million out of his pocket and that he pays for every transfer out his own bank account. I give up.

Where has this notion that Laporte is slow come from? He’s as fast as Stones or Otamendi, and we’ve not had any problem with either. He’s not a Demichelis who’ll be continually exposed.

Agree it can get frustrating. I've stopped posting on Red Cafe these past couple of weeks for this very reason. There are plenty of very good posters on there but I found myself spending too much time responding to the ignorant, clueless minority. As enjoyable as it was to point out where I felt they were wrong, it sometimes invited more ignorant shite so I thought it'd be best to take a sabbatical and to be honest I feel better for it.

As fast as Stones or Otamendi? What the hell lad. He's not as fast as Walker or Sane, but he's significantly faster than Nico and Stones.

I think it may well be a good time to bring him in. Give him a few months to settle in with some players from the Spainish league it takes them time to settle in. So it would be perfect if we get this done in the window. I think as a stop gap he could be used left back and leave Stones , Ottamendi and Kompany as the centre back 2. With Delph and Mendy both out and Zinchenko being young and inexperienced might be a way of bedding Laporte into the team. Cant see us playing with 3 centre backs just yet with the form of Sane and Sterling it would be crazy not to see them playing out on the wings. I be interested to see how Pep uses Laporte but he could well be a great signing for the club for years to come. If he settles into the league.
