For those who missed it earlier and wonder why he's uncapped at senior level, he suffered the injury in what was supposed to be his last U21 game before him and Umiti were going to get called up. As we know Umtiti continued his form with Lyon and got his dream move. Laporte's injury came at a bad time for him and he's now overlooked, has nothing to do with form Deschamps is just stubborn and still makes terrible selection choices. What's also a bit funny about this move is reading Athletic Club fans reactions they what to used the money to buy Iñigo Martinez.
