Sorry pal, just realised I'd not put the Mangler's name in the post. I've not seen much of Laporte, but I think Pep has an eye for a player and wouldn't sign a duffer for that sort of money.

Most of the Mangler's problems are in his head I think.

He might not be the best footballer but he's good enough, it's not his skill that causes him.to fuck up it's his head, which seems to also bizarrely stop him from sprinting at times.

I really thought he would be exactly what we needed but he's not improved even 1%
 
i like Mangala but he will never excel in technical demanding team like City.
he's more suitable t to a team like Rag, playing hoofball and bus parking tactic.
in defensive team, he'll be excellent.
 
Only read the last few pages. Would like to know the general consensus re this transfer. I know Pep wants him, but what about Bluemooners?

Think it's hard to get excited about defenders tbh! If this was an attacking player this thread would be over 2000 by now lol.

Top class left footed centre backs are hard to come by, to me certainly after watching the vid from last couple of pages, he looks perfect for us and this league and I have faith that Pep knows what he is doing.
 
This will be a very good signing if a bit expensive.
He is a very good player and at 23 just the right age.
Pep is future proofing this team again.
