It's all about supply and demand. We rate Laporte as the ideal player to facilitate the the style of defending we want to do and the figure that we need to pay to get the man in ready to learn our system in time for the start of next season is what we will stump up. No more, no less.
We are playing hardball with BVB over Gundogan so we don't automatically pay the first asking price quoted, but sometimes there is more at stake by messing around over 5m than just the money.

Denayer is a ball playing centre half though,i think a partnership with this kid could blossom superbly,especially given the increased midfield possession we are likely to enjoy.

Personally,id be leaving Stones where he is and I'd be looking for another RB instead.

Same here, he'll play right back for belgium in the euros (if he doesn't get injured) and if he does well he'll be our right back next season
