Patrick Barclay from the times admitted in their football podcast a couple of weeks ago that they don't criticise him in case he doesn't talk to them anymore. Even though he doesn't even talk to the bbc they always seem to be cautious about annoying him eg where was rooney's kick at the sunderland player? even if there was nothing in it it is still topical with Adegate rumbling on. I thought Riley reffed a good game, especially teh advantage that gave Sunderland the 2nd goal.
