Uk related deaths in 1 year;
Cocaine-214
Canabis-1
LSD-0
Ketamine-1
Amphetamine-35
Heroin-700
Ecstacy-27
Tobacco-114,000
Alcohol-40,000.
Guess which two are perfectly legal ???
responsible for 2,065 uk deaths per day between them
Plus 2000 people a year die from over the counter NSAIDs. The demonisation of street drugs especially is actually insane. Obviously people need to be a little smart but most are safer than ibuprofen.
Wonder if DL up there think it's ok for people to feel sympathy for people that died abusing prescription drugs they were legally prescribed.
If you were to make drugs legal then more people would perceive it to be socially acceptable and take them and there would be more deaths, just like the ones related to alcohol and tobacco
My thoughts exactly . Who can say the pills ect.. will be of a certain quality when legal food and drink has more harmful additives in it is openly sold on the High street . Come on that £1.99 cider that is the size of an oxygen tank is no different to the snide £2 pills and the so called legal high alternatives . I would not trust those in charge or any Pharmaceutical company to licence the product properly , even in Holland a lot of people buy weed on the black market as the strength of the commercial shop bought stuff is inferior to what they can buy or grow themselves . The debate needs to begin sooner rather than later , as recessions have proven in the past , a lot more people go out to enjoy themselves and forget about their plight for a weekend . A lot more drug taking goes on and its always the cheap end drugs that get hammered by folks . Same way cheaper alcohol , its a worldwide issue that needs addressing not just our backyard .Quality over quantity
Edit : how the fuck did someone die smoking cannabis ,did they choke on it ?
