Badly treated by City, Yes or No. ?

Went up to renew on my 37th birthday last week and they had a brand new Bugatti waiting for me outside the ticket office.

Nice touch from the club that .

There is a lesson here for all new ST applicants. Lie about your age on your application!

Or do they ask for proof?

I would write to them if I were you. After 60 years you never know they might sort it!

I (hopefully ) reach the age of 65 on 5th August.
I spoke to Customer Services about 2 months ago and asked what the score would be regarding the
renewal of my Season Ticket as the Season would not KO until after my birthday.
She told me this would be taken into consideration at the time of renewal.
So off I trots to the ticket office to renew mine and my youngest Daughters a junior.
Only to be told that the cut off date was 1st August and i would have to pay full price.
if I was 65 the day the season kicked off Was 19th Aug season gone ) I would have swallowed it and moved on.

Now reaching 65, is I think a bit of a milestone for me with regard to supporting City.
There are many Blues who have sadly passed away before this age.
I was 5 when my Dad first sat me on the wall of the old Kippax and have continued
going home and away ever since, do as many Euros as I can.
I was not at York but was one of the 8K against Swindon and witnessed many a debacle
Halifax and Shrewsbury spring to mind.
This doesn't make me a better Blue it's just I'm older, so consequently done more.
I have had a ST since when I can't remember, have one for my youngest and have put down
a £100 deposit for the new stand in the hope of getting one for my eldest.
Now hopefully all of you will (if your not there already) all get to 65 and well past, and
continue the the brilliant support we have shown for our club over the years.
This club means everything to me as I am sure it does to all. I have always been proud to be a Blue.
But this leaves a bit of a bad taste in my mouth, you would expect it from the Rags.
Everywhere else will treat me as an OAP from 5th August but not my club.
Have I renewed, fuckin right I have.

same happened with my old fella last season 65 on 18th August, those fuckers don't bend mate

at least you'll get the away tickets as an OAP, always look on the bright side

The strange this about this, which I cannot get my head round is.
They started from the Derby game giving me the OAP concessions (£ 27.00 ) at the swamp.
Got OAP tickets for Palace , Everton , Liverpool.
I was a bit baffled as to why they did this as they were all booked online but obviously didn't query it.
That's why I was taken aback when the told me I had to pay full for ST.

This affects my mate's daughter's boyfriend as well but the other way round. His birthday is early August and can get the younger price.

Note that when you buy LC, FAC and CL tickets (i.e.) not already paid for, you should be able to get an OAP ticket.

I think the issue is that the smart cards really aren't that smart and will only flag up at the gate as an adult or concession ticket and they may not have the technology for it to light the green light one week then the red light the next after someone goes into a different age bracket. Is the card printed with 'Young Whippersnapper' Adult/ 'Owd gimmer on it?'

From Club ticket site:

Your age on 1st August 2014 determines which of the categories below applies to you.

• Junior (15 years and under)
• 16-17 years
• 18-21 years
• Adult (22 -64 years)
• Senior’s (65 years and over)
• Disabled

Please note: on your birthday, should your age take you into a different price category (age band), for home Cup games and Away games, the price you pay will depend on your age at the time the game takes place. So, for example, a junior who turns 16-years of age during the season will pay the published price in the next category up (16-17-years).

When we play a neutral stadium (ie Wembley Stadium), the Club is contractually obligated to sell tickets in-line with the host venue’s regulations. For example, a junior who is 16-years of age, may be classed as an adult at Wembley Stadium and would be required to pay the prevailing adult rate. Any exceptions and/or qualifying sales criteria for matches at neutral stadia would be published on www.mcfc.co.uk.

All Seasoncards are sold subject to availability and issued subject to Manchester City Football Club’s 2014/15 Seasoncard Terms and Conditions of Sale and the Club’s Ground Regulations available upon request or at www.mcfc.co.uk/seasoncard.
