Maicon can't defend to save his life, he's about as good a defender as Bale. Anyway, we all have our opinions, and obviously a lot rate Bale, I personally don't. I think he had a deccent half season last year, but disapeared again for large parts of any game I have seen him play in this season. He has made a name for himself on the back of a couple of games against Inter.

I rate Bale, he is good player but obviously not as 40 millions one, it's crazy.

Please you're getting ridiculous now. Maicon was a brilliant all-round defender prior to those games, he had power, pace, good attacking and defensive abilities but he's never been the same since Caesar tore him to shreds. As I've said previously £25m + 'Bayor and AJ and I'd be happy.

IMO, your valuation of Bale is what is ridiculous.
