I’d honestly say our best players this season have been:
1. Rodri
2. Aké
3. Haaland

And that's with Kevin being incredible 2/3rds of the season, Jack being excellent 1/3rd of it (shame it didn't overlap Kevin's poorer spell), Bernardo being Bernardo and Akanji being a surprise

Agree with this. If anyone from City deserves the award it would be De Bruyne. Best midfielder to ever play the PL. Currently the best midfielder in he world.

And if he won it, it would be a lifetime achievement job rather than on his performances this season, where he's been brilliant at times, especially in big games, but poor and anonymous for much of the season too.

Traditionally the player comes from the team that’s won the champions league but I wonder if we win it, will this year be the exception to the rule. I keep thinking back to the premier league manager of the year awards, it was the manager who won the league until 11/12 when Pardew won it or 13/14 when Tony Pulis won it.

Yeah this is true. Based on his body of work over the last 6 years he deserves that recognition but it wouldn't be solely based on this year, unless, he puts in some MOM performances over the remainder of the season like against Arsenal and leads us to the treble.

I rate rodri and other players as high as any blue but no player can have to be considered to have better season than haaland with records he has broken

The French league isn't on a par with the PL but it's far from a farmers league. Goals there count as much as goals here.

Haaland could actually end the season with near enougb three times as many goals as Messi in all competitions, and it would still go to Messi.
