They sneer about us having no histree yet before the PL was formed and when they were formed in 1905 they only managed to win the old First Division once in 1954/55. They went 50 years before they won the league again, this time as the PL in 2004/5.
But after their sole first division title win they went 15 years to win the old Cup winners cup in 71 beating Real Madrid. They then went 26 years before their next proper trophy,(discounting their 86 Full Members Cup win over us) the FA Cup in 1997 under Ken Bates as owner and chairman of CFC.
As for their past average attendances, well it's not a pretty sight. Most of those silver balloon waving dicks were not even a globule of semen in their father's ball bag when Chelsea had the running track around the old Stamford bridge.
I remember when there were often swathes of empty concrete terracing bereft of fans at the Bridge. It seemed there were more turquoise 3 wheeler disabled carriages in the stadium than fans at one televised game i saw.
