Can see exectly whats going to happen now - He'll have setback after setback, never get a chance to actually play for us properly, before heading back to Italy next summer for a cut-down price after claiming he hasnt settled in Manchester.

LOL....relax mate. Balo's here for a while. It's just a little niggling injury setback. More than likely, the size of our squad means the club are just not taking any risks with players and making sure they are 100% before playing them. I'd rather he had the operation to make sure it doesn't recur again later on...

Look at how Liverpool have ruined Torres by making him play with injections, and generally when he's not been 100%...
 
So can anybody shed anylight on how long he should be out for? I mean if it the quoted six weeks, how much recovery time is needed for him to be back to match fitness? Are we looking at a minimum 8 weeks?

I, like most people, just want to see him play.
