I thought Boj did his achiles?

I just meant that he signed, played a short time, and then got injured long term, and that we seem to have a history of players arriving and getting long term injuries.

Ah right...

I'm not medical expert, but I got the impression that Balo's injury rather than being serious, was more of a niggly thing which will keep him out until after the next international break in 6 weeks time...

Some major overeactions on here.

You would think the kid has had a bullet put through his head.

City obviously feel that its best for him to have surgery and he will have gone to the best surgeons in the world and i like the fact that hes having it back in his homeland because they do say that you can recover quicker when you are in a positive mind and seeing his family will certainly put a smile on his face.

And he will put a smile on my face when he whacks home the winner against the scum!

I hope so but once you get a meniscus injury that needs surgery it can be unpredictable. I really hope they don't rush him back.

PAVIA, Italy (AP) -Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli has undergone successful surgery on a right knee injury that is expected to keep him out for about six weeks.

The 20-year-old striker waved to reporters from his window at the San Matteo hospital in Pavia, Italy, on Thursday, shirtless but wearing a shower cap.

Earlier, surgeons took 20 minutes to remove part of the lateral meniscus on his right knee, which he tore in a Europa League match against FC Timisoara last month.

Balotelli scored the winner in that game, his debut for City after he joined for 22.5 million pounds ($35 million) from Inter Milan.

I think he'll always find a place for de Jong.

For the Blackburn game, I think/hope he lines up:

Hart

Boateng
Kolo Toure
Kompany
Lescott

Barry
de Jong

Milner
Yaya Toure
Johnson

Tevez

I think you are right that he will go with that team, but I dont think its not an attacking team in my opinion

regardless of whether yaya pushes forward, he is not an atacking midfielder....at best he is box to box but he is not overally creative...that basically leaves milner, tevez and AJ

this ispolates teves far too much.....play this team and we may win (which is fine) but in my opinion we have a squad that could and should be winning with style if the manager would just break out of his very restrictive mould

Neither am I and it probably is just a niggle, but I was just pointing out how often new signings get injured at City, its not a conspiracy or anything, just seems like bad luck we sign players who then get injured (3 this year) before we really get to see them play, we even sign them injured like RSC, but that one was surely just incompetence.
