Manchini should sit him down and tell him to put up or shut up, he has 7 - 8 weeks to stake his claim, Ballotelli will be like a January signing for us.

i also agree that in the long term this may be for the best for us, all the new signings are going to drip feed into the team.

Yaya > Milner > Silva > Boetang > Koralov > Balotelli.

it would have been asking too much to bring these into the team all at once, as it has worked out they will be brought into the team nice and slowly as they are ready causing minimum disruption.

We might have been top of the League and still in the league Cup if it wasn't for injuries

What has Adebayor said to upset you? From what I have seen he's got his head down, and is ready and waiting to take his chance when he gets it

i think its justa misunderstanding. balo will be fit in 6/8 week form the operation's day wich was 8 september.
 
hope this aint true,cant see it really,cant take that long to recover from knee op,gutted if true tho!

so fcukin annoying,grrrr!

Mario Balotelli believes he is six to eight weeks away from a first-team return so could be back for Manchester City's Europa League clash with Juventus in mid-December.

The 20-year-old striker is hoping to recover from knee surgery by the end of November after successfully undergoing the operation on 8th September.

And Balotelli, a £24million signing from Inter Milan in the summer, intends to build up enough fitness so he can force his way into Roberto Mancini's plans for the game in Turin.

And the City marksman, who netted on his debut in the Europa League clash against FC Timisoara before picking up the injury, has set his sights on the 16th December showdown with the Serie A giants.

On the ailment, the Italy international confirmed: "It's going to be around six to eight weeks."

Balotelli's injury has allowed the Palermo-born frontman to immerse himself in English life and the young striker is content with living in Manchester.

He added: "It's OK, I'm calm about it."

City's corresponding fixture against Juventus is this Thursday when they host the Italian outfit at Eastlands.

I don't mean to put a dampener on things but this is the norm for meniscus tears:

Upon awakening in the recovery room, patients are placed in a knee brace. The brace used may either be a knee immobilizer or a hinged knee brace. A knee immobilizer holds the knee fully extended, while a hinged knee brace can allow for controlled motion of the knee. If a hinged knee brace is used, it is locked with the knee fully straight.
Patients are given crutches, and instructed to walk with the crutches. Most often, patients will be allowed to place weight on the operated leg so long as the knee is held fully straight (either with a knee immobilizer or a hinged knee brace locked in extension).

The Early Days
Patients can remove the knee brace or immobilizer while not walking, and bend the knee up to about 60 degrees. Patients should continue to use a brace whenever walking, and only place weight on the leg if the knee is held fully straight by the brace.

After One Month
After a month or so, more motion is allowed. Patients can walk with the knee in the brace, but no longer locked in extension. Strenuous activities are still restricted as the meniscus continues to heal.

3-4 Months
By 3 to 4 months, most surgeons will allow return to full activities and no longer protect the knee. Patients must slowly return to sports and competition, but they no longer have restrictions on motion and do not require the use of a brace.
