we need a fit and motivated Ade

exactly

Manchini should sit him down and tell him to put up or shut up, he has 7 - 8 weeks to stake his claim, Ballotelli will be like a January signing for us.

i also agree that in the long term this may be for the best for us, all the new signings are going to drip feed into the team.

Yaya > Milner > Silva > Boetang > Koralov > Balotelli.

it would have been asking too much to bring these into the team all at once, as it has worked out they will be brought into the team nice and slowly as they are ready causing minimum disruption.

Sweet way of looking at it! I like your argument alot!

i think its justa misunderstanding. balo will be fit in 6/8 week form the operation's day wich was 8 september.

I don't mean to put a dampener on things but this is the norm for meniscus tears:

Upon awakening in the recovery room, patients are placed in a knee brace. The brace used may either be a knee immobilizer or a hinged knee brace. A knee immobilizer holds the knee fully extended, while a hinged knee brace can allow for controlled motion of the knee. If a hinged knee brace is used, it is locked with the knee fully straight.
Patients are given crutches, and instructed to walk with the crutches. Most often, patients will be allowed to place weight on the operated leg so long as the knee is held fully straight (either with a knee immobilizer or a hinged knee brace locked in extension).

The Early Days
Patients can remove the knee brace or immobilizer while not walking, and bend the knee up to about 60 degrees. Patients should continue to use a brace whenever walking, and only place weight on the leg if the knee is held fully straight by the brace.

After One Month
After a month or so, more motion is allowed. Patients can walk with the knee in the brace, but no longer locked in extension. Strenuous activities are still restricted as the meniscus continues to heal.

3-4 Months
By 3 to 4 months, most surgeons will allow return to full activities and no longer protect the knee. Patients must slowly return to sports and competition, but they no longer have restrictions on motion and do not require the use of a brace.

this may be the right times for an aged fat guy like me ;)

at 1994 USA WC franco baresi recovered from a meniscus injuries got in the opener games in time for play the WC final : 23 days.

3-4 months is bollocks. Obviously it depends on the surgery but for a professional athlete is should be a few weeks. This is much closer to reality:

How long after arthroscopic meniscectomy-minimally invasive arthroscopic surgery for torn meniscus cartilage in the knee will patients be able to return to ordinary daily activities?

Usually patients return to activities of daily living in 48 hours postoperatively. Depending on the amount of swelling, driving may be difficult for an additional 2-3 days. Returning to sports is usually discouraged until the patient has recovered full range of motion and strength. On average this takes 4-6 weeks.

I hope this guy doesn't turn out to be another Bojinov ..........

he's on schedule to return in December when it might well be snowing , pitches could be frozen , and there's likely to an icy cold air blowing ........ just the thing you might want to break a newly healed knee in!

Why does everyone say he's the new Bojinov? Just because he has an injury, and he's a striker? Everyone gets injured. Vincent Kompany had a bad injury when he was a kid, came back, and has developed into a class player. So why not say he's the new Kompany? Or is that not doom and gloom enough? Professional sportsman in getting injured shocker.

I don't think it has anything to do with balanced reasoning......more like City fans expecting the expected and getting shafted with bad luck.

It's a hard habit to break after all.
