Balotelli (ALL IN HERE PLEASE!)

Re: Balotelli (continued)

Gotta give props to the lot of you...

Most "Milan" fans spit and shit on players that leave... Hence why I can't be in those forums.

Decent bunch here

Re: Balotelli (continued)

Good luck to him, some top memories. Will never be forgotten because of that pass, those fireworks and that celebration.

I hope this doesn't mean Santa Cruz is coming back.

Oh no.

Ha ha, we might need him. I bet after 18 months playing week in week out he'd do his knee within a week of returning.

It's what's best for all parties really. Quite a character he was, and we won 2 trophies with him. I hope he scores bunches in Italy.

Just heard on Talkshite that we are being offered around 20m Euros, but we paid 37m Euros for him. Seriously, where in God's fucking name do they get these people? That is just downright fucking lies, or bullshit guessing.

Didn't you know?
When we buy somebody, they always quote the buying fee/add ons and the total of all wages over the contract. When the United buy some one, they quote the buying fee less any amount earnt from the previous years sales. Same with any totals quoted. They only ever quote City's gross spend so far. When quoting what United have spent, it is alway net spend. Considering they already had an expensive team to start with, we had to spend just to get level. They sell a few players and buy one. The press only quotes the net spend, so it looks like they have spent nothing.

It will really bug then over the next two seasons when we start making a profit instead of a loss. And when the academy comes on full stream, profits will start to shoot through the roof. We get first option on talent, and sell the rest for a tidy sum.

Mind you by then, the press (and United) will decide it is better to buy talent rather than develope it. The headlines will be "Scrooge City refuse to spend money". It will be reported 35 year old RVP has decided to leave championship team United for premier league City. Only for City to declare that they prefer to give academy player Johnny Gorton a shot at first team football. "United have released a press statement saying that City are ruining football". "United feel that using your own home grown talent is unfair. They state that if nobody buys players any more, where will the money come from?".

Aye, and who exactly has the registration of Adebayor? Is he still one of ours or what? Can't keep up with all this toing and froing. One minute we've nine strikers and the next we're down to three. We'll be down, as 'Arry sez, to the bare bones!!
