Goals per game means entirely nothing. Tevez regularly came on for United for 5 minutes at the end of a game, which still hits his GPG ratio. Also, tevez was playing at a higher standard, in a different team, in a different position, etc.
If GPG is the only measure of success, Van Nistelrooy is a far better player than Baggio, which is ludicrous.
