I think he is either:

A fookin football genius who will come alive one day on the pitch and waltz past everybody, bursting a blood vessel whilst sweating blue blood to really show us what he can do...Apparently in training he does some absolutely fabulous things.......
OR
He is in fact a bone idle, useless, braindead cnut..........

I think he is in fact a genius who is playing us along.............??!!

Exactly what I was trying to say.

Balotelli's probably in OUR Top 10 Premier League goal scorers list, but he won't be anywhere the near the regular list.

Considering our time in the Premier League pre-2007, being in our Top 10 at the moment doesn't really mean much.

People who say, "he isnt really that great" really need to get a fucking grip. This is a kid our manager spent 22 million on, Bobby sees him in training every day so you know there is talent there with him.

I will say this, if i had his talent, id bust a bollock to be the best i could be. I think he tries, i dont think he was bad against united, but people on here are so naive they believe everything in the press before watching his off the ball movement, his clever runs into space, the link-up.

He makes various defence splitting runs when he plays but doesnt get the ball quick enough and as a result gets frustrated and isolated which makes people think hes lazy, arrogant etc.

So why was he subbed in the first 5 minutes of the second half? And why did we play so much better when went off?

We played better because tevez came on yes, but if tevez would of started he wouldnt have been so gung-ho the way he was, he had 40 minutes to run around and be a nuisance and thats what he did.

If you watched the game Balotelli didnt play badly at all.

We played just as good if not better in the first 15 minutes.

Contrary to what a lot of people assume, I think Mancini handles Balotelli very badly. Prandelli has shown the way with a good mix of authority and understanding, the tough love stance doesn't work at all - that is clear. but Mancini isn't able to offer any other kind of man-management, his style of motivation is a big part of the problem.

"He has everything to play well but he can’t continue to play like today. you cannot understand why he continues to throw it out of the window. It is incredible … I have seen players in my life with fantastic quality. But in the end, they did nothing. I don’t want Mario to finish like these players. It would be bad for him."

Talking about Mario throwing his talent out of the window and finishing his career with nothing is not the image to place in the players mind to inspire. WTF! was he really that bad? He's criticism of Balo was ott, as if to suggest he was responsible for the derby loss.

Mancini's used Mario to his own advantage to deflect attention away from his own errors, Once again, different game yet same outcome if you backtrack Arsenal last season, it was almost impossible to fathom the logic of the manager decision to keep him on the pitch bubbling, solely focus on Balo from the touchline yelling and screaming until picked up a red card. everyone and his dog could see it coming, NOT the manager?

back to the rags game, 5 minutes into the 2nd, 2-0 down, few meaningless mistake, it was perfect opportunity to stock the boot into Balo. Since when he sub a striker after 50 ? WHY did he not kept him like Arsenal's game?

To suggest Mancini’s loyalty to Mario could cost his job absolutely is naive to extreme.
Without Balotelli, Mancini could lose his job, he will do anything to keep Balo because he needs him, Ballotelli is becoming like a target painted on Manchini's back, he's such an easy target to use whenever the pressure on high, and in my opinion Mancini is abusing Balotelli's trust relationship to his own advantage to deflect attention away from his own errors and away from the team as well.

I was at the game first 15 minutes he played well but after unted scored he was anonymous and kept trying those stupid little flicks which never came off, he was having a poor game which is why Mancini took him off end off. And for a 25 million pound player ho is meant to be this wonder kid it just isn't good enough. And for you to say he played okay it just shows how week his other performances have been.

-- Thu Dec 20, 2012 5:42 pm --

I don't think Balotelli going off improved us nor did Mancini taking him off losing us the game.

I personally thought he played well and some poor finishing from Aguero meant he didn't get an assist/s nor did we score more goals.

Mancini is a very emotional character and can explode when things aren't going well and something goes wrong on the pitch.

Balotelli attempted that back heel and it didn't come off and Mancini went crazy and hooked him straight away. Had it come off but then we had missed the chance it created would he have been subbed? or did Mancini just feel the pressure of it and feel he had to do something.

For the record I would have started Tevez and brought on Balotelli but like I say he didn't play badly at all.
