Because the ref missed it. They did him for the Parker incident afterwards.
Had that incident involved Balotelli, it would have been a free kick to Swansea & Balotelli would have been carded for kicking the Swansea player from behind then carded for his reaction & dismissed.
The media would be making a point of how ridiculous it is to make a big fuss about being hit by the ball.
So mario now deserves all the uinfair treatment that he gets from referees and from the press........is this what you are saying. I think we now need to redefine the term football fan...it seems now people are fans of only some players rather than the team.......and ive never heard been accused of diving either. Even the pundits dont say that ( or I havent heard them at least)
And the head stamp on (the media darling) parker wasnt deliberate but you obviously see it different...to me he was trying to regain his footing but slowed down it looks worse but in real time you can clearly see what is happening. Just like a couple of the sending offs the other day (cannt remember what game it was!)...completely undeserved and misinterprited by the ref

Its a real shame if he goes because hes a huge talent and he will always have a place in my heart for the why always me goal and more crucially the fantastic lay off the Sergio in May. City legend if only because of the above and his amazing antics.

That's where you and so many others go so wrong over this guy. A legend because of that? Really?!
The lay off, goal at Old Trafford and one or two other things he's done he will be remembered fondly for, but a Man City Legend? No chance on this planet has he earned that tag - he never will at any club he's at as he hasn't got it in him, not for the right reasons anyway, the reasons a player should be labeled a legend .
Most of the treatment he gets from the media is fair imo, at times they go overboard but really he has made his own bed. As far as the stamp goes I do think it was deliberate, lets not forget when he almost broke Songs leg, he´s no saint is he? I know you like him but it´s not happening for him atm and hasen´t for a long time. And he wanted to take the club to a tribunal, what kind of messages does that send out? And with us being left in two competitions I can´t see Mario getting the playing time that he wants.
