You know the customs and finer nuances of Arabic business practice.

Do you think the Sheikh will enjoy fielding questions about why one of his players is gate crashing press conferences when he should be training after poor displays at his business meetings.

Little kids will like him yes but publicity wise i would argue he has brought bad publicity.
The cool things attributed to him are just that, attributed to him.
How does giving a homeless man cash help city or even reflect on us in any manor at all ?

Yet the bad stuff kept happening and made us look like mugs tbh mate.

These kids see him as a madcap character, not a Man City football player.

You're dead right, you just can't put a price on that kind of entertainment.

Do you lot still sing:

"City, Manchester City, nobody knows our name" to the Rupert the Bear Tune?

Thought not. We truly are 'massive' now and Mario's played his part in that process.

How our continued rise must sting.

Scum is The Beatles, we're The Stones and Balotelli is Keith Richards
And Rooney is Phil Collins.

Offer to loan with option to buy for £12million from AC Milan in 5... 4... 3...

Man, that's harsh!

I don't think it's been by design if that's what you're asking. He wasn't signed with that in mind that's for sure. I'm also certain that our owners have viewed him with ambivalence at best. He certainly isn't the image they want for their club.

But until the title win this club was hungry for the oxygen of publicity to give it the credibility it craved, and most certainly didn't have, and he has given us that imo.

It is a circus and we don't need it now, but he put us in the spotlight just when we needed it. Remember how far we've come in terms of being recognised as a club on the global stage - he's been a big part of that. He may have taken the piss lately, my point was that we've had value out of him by virtue of that behaviour, at least that's my take on it.

Balotelli is not on £170 000 a week that's closer to what the top earners are on Yaya, Tevez, Aguero, Silva. This is bollocks some folks need to take a night off the hate. Manager and club plus owner know best. Not press!.

It's not just the red tops reporting it though anymore.

I see they're both happy to keep spinning the tired lie that he's on £170,000 pw.
