Balotelli (continued)

Wouldn't be the end of the world to sell balotelli without replacing him for me. In some ways having four big contract strikers gives us a headache as Mancini rotates to give them all game time. Guidetti could be fourth striker.

Wouldn't be surprised to see us go from one extreme to the other before our business is completed by the end of the summer window.

Meaning the departures of Mario, Dzeko and Tevez.

I agree, though, we certainly should be on the lookout for the type of attacking midfielder we thought we would be getting with Nasri.

It's been good to see Barry getting on the scoresheet in recent games, but prior to that, it has highlighted how short we are in terms of goals if Yaya hasn't chipped in.

Yesterday was the first time I heard boos towards Mario, certainly sat in the North Stand, there were plenty as he was introduced.

He is not even close to full fitness yet. A lad I know knows him and we are still talking months before a full return.

If that's not blowing your own trumpet,i don't know what is.You'll need to back that up with your goals per minutes ratio mate.

Skaskion you but into any ongoing argument on most threads
And can you get the stats up for dzekos min per goal THIS season compared to marios

Cheers
Only if I'm making a point relevant to the argument. You are not.

That's ridiculous, so no. Firstly, you are making some kind of point that only the current season should be taken into account. That is bizarre and illogical unless you're saying you can't have spells of form with the arbitrary bounds you're creating of the season. No, football doesn't work that way. Human beings don't work that way. Footballers may have good seasons and bad seasons but only due to periods of bad and good form within a season. Balotelli's not going to have a great season but he could still have a good spell of form and have a good season. Dzeko could have a great season but could also have a bad spell and only have a good season. However, his starting record over his City career is poorer than Balotelli's. I think you can make an argument that on current form Dzeko should be starting. I wouldn't even argue with that because if you always use long-term stats, there's no chance of turning them around. BUT, using long-term stats is far better than using only short-term stats like you are doing. Secondly, Balotelli has played on the left several times when he's started. You are not comparing like for like if you only use this season's stats.

John guidetti has been out with a virus for 8 months having never played top flight league football. When fit as with all players who are out of the game for a prolonged time, they come back they are prone to soft tissue injuries.

So with that and aguero being out for at least 4 to 6 weeks with a muscle tear and you think it wouldnt be the end of the world to get rid of Italy current first choice striker and leave us tevez and dzeko.

All I can say is thank fuck people with your ideas are allowed to manage Manchester city
